Melanie beamed at the boy and pushed the black frames higher up to make sure they didn't fall again. It was such a nice day out and all that jazz too. She should've brought like a picnic or something. That would've been nice.

Missed much? Melanie turned to look at the boy but saw him lying on the ground. "Nope, not at all," she said, still sitting up. She wasn't going to lie down on the ground... not with such a dangerous tree so close by. "Everything's been... relatively the same..." Melanie mused as she thought a bit about what had changed. Nothing came to mind for her at all. OH WAIT. "My daddy bought me a dog for my birthday!" Melanie exclaimed. That had been exciting. Yep. And that was it.

She looked up at the sky then back at Landon. "What about you?" she asked.
