Bluejay | Potatopop! | SRS - Stupid Ravenclaw Syndrome

*sniffle*

The little Ravenclaw used the sleeve of her cardigan to wipe her nose and dry her eyes, even though on ordinary occasions it would have been a HUGE no no and totally gross. But her tissue was equally - if not more - disgusting at this stage. She hadn't exactly held a funeral for a pet before (though she had wanted to hold one for WMD, but he had no body left....) and didn't really know what to do. This hadn't been her idea in the first place. It was West's. She rubbed her knuckles into her eyes again and waited for the...many five people that would come? She wasn't even sure people would care about the fact that her evil kneazle that drooled and ate EVERYTHING had passed away.

With a sad sigh, she glanced up at the first..."guest" and blinked in surprise. Theo? But...He DESPISED Barnabus. So the fact that he had came made give a small smile, even though it was a little shaky. "Hi Theo..." Wow that sound so bleak. A little on the croaky side too. Which kinda made her wanna cry some more cause she thought of poor WMD. This was basically a double funeral! Why did all her pets have to die?!

"I'm not crying.."
She looked away and wiped her eyes again quickly on the back of her hand. "S-see? I'm fine." His super awkward pat on the shoulder didn't really help though. She really could've used a hug. But she wasn't about to ask for one now. Not like she was really going to get one of him anyway. She was kinda surprised he had been happy to touch her shoulder in the first place. "T-thanks for coming..." I know you really hated my poor kneazle. But she didn't add the last part cause she wasn't in the mood to bicker. She wasn't in the mood for anything.

*wibble*

Then she got the hug she wanted - and needed - from a very familiar blond. Alice. Alice had been the one who had got her the kneazle. Which made Blue wanted to cry again. But at this stage her body was completely dehydrated. She leaned her head onto Alice's shoulder. "No..not really. I'm so sorry Alice. I should've taken better care of him." Though it hadn't been her fault, really. How could she have known they'd be locked out of the common rooms for months? But part of the reason she was so heartbroken over this whole thing was cause she sorta blamed herself.

And that her mommy would never let her get another pet after this.

"You brought words?"
Blink blink. Blue really ought to have thought this thing through a bit better. She hadn't even CONSIDERED reading anything. Plus, West said he'd take care of that anyway. She nodded. "Could you read them for me?" If she did it herself she'd probably burst into tears half way through it. And everyone would look at her all pityingly and she'd feel even more sorry for herself.

If that was even possible.

And then someone else was hugging her. The second year just hugged them back, without question and when she pulled away, felt herself welling up again. Ella. After their whole talk about their past, they'd been a lot closer. And it was kinda touching that she'd come. Blue was super lucky to have Ella as her big sister. She kinda just stared blankly at the ice cream though. "...I don't really feel like ice cream. Maybe Alec can have it?" The tissues, were a different story, however. She took them, mumbling a little "thanks" and taking one immediately, blowing her nose, a little too loudly.

Aaaaaand, another person.

That she didn't really know very well. Hazan? Or Harlan? Harlan, probably. She blinked while the girl went on and on, staying silent except for - "he ate a lot. He ate my duvet. And my left show" when she mentioned the sleeping and napping. Before starting to wibble and looking down at her shoes when the older girl mentioned about her Gran dying. "I'msorry." Mumble mumble. She glanced back up at her. "Thanks for coming...It means a lot." It did. Especially cause it wasn't like they ever talked.

She twisted her used tissue for something to do, feeling awkward and uncomfortable.

Kurumi. Blue sniffed and nodded. She didn't actually have a stone though. She walked over to the flower bed and picked up a smooth and round er...it could've been a small stone or a big pebble. Whatever. She didn't really care. She turned back and went over to the gathering before silently handing the graduating girl it. She wasn't in the mood to explain to the others it was a gravestone. They'd figure it out.

Another person joined the group. How many now? Six. It made her want to smile how much people cared. She was just expecting West and Kurumi to come, to be honest. Not even Theo. "Hi Dora. ....It's okay." She shrugged sadly and glanced back at the box that would have to work as a coffin. Blue turned her attention back to her dorm mate and a flashed of colour in the midst of Dora's hair caught her eye. "Your hair's nice." She felt the need to point it out okay?! Even in a time like this.

Maybe Dora could do it for her later? It might cheer her up. Probably for only a couple of minutes though.

Alec with the Hair now. The amount of people crowding her was getting to be a bit uncomfortable at this stage. Not that she was claustrophobic or anything but...you know. When Alec said something about Barnabus loving her lots Blue tried not to snort and be bitter. Sure, she loved HIM - obviously very much - but he didn't really feel the same. He ate all her shoes and tried to take a bit out OF HER HAIR and didn't really get along with...anything. But she still loved him, very much. And she couldn't NOT love him cause when Alice had given him to her, she told Blue she was it's mommy now. And she couldn't abandon it after that. It was much to close for home.

She wrapped her arms around Alec but didn't put much effort into the hug, to be honest. At first, she had liked them but was getting quite sick of them at this point. But she still appreciated the gesture. She smiled thinly at her fake!brother and pointed to the box. "Don't look in there, okay? It's not a nice sight." Just saying. Don't cry. Don't cry.

Blue didn't even think it was POSSIBLE to be able to well up again. But apparently it was. She wiped her eyes with her repulsive tissue as the next person came up to her to give her their condolences. She was half expecting Bliss - because she hadn't turned up yet - and her eyes widened in surprise to see the (boy version) Gryffindor prefect. Had they ever even said more than hello? The only reason she knew his name - Gideon Gert (see? wasn't lying) - was because he was IMPORTANT. And she respected the prefects. Cause they were kinda awesome.

"I-it's alright. Thank you."
She hesitated before deciding TO ask him. "....Does the school owe me a new kneazle?" It was their fault for the locked common room.

Ohai Cassia. Blue's lip twitched and flashed the Snakette a tiny smile. She couldn't be too happy about Cassia being here though. Cause she knew how she felt about her owl. And it was kinda unfair when Blue loved her kneazle so much and the blond hated her pet but Blue's died. ;__; But still. She was a friend and was here to support the Eagle. And that was so sweet.

Elise now. Elise was there when they found...yeah. *wibble* "I think I'm all cried out." LIES, LIES I TELL YOU. This statement was in fact, proven when Elise mentioned her mom. Fresh tears welled up. Oh gosh. Poor Elise. She didn't have to come. But she did. Cause she was the best.

Blue tugged her cardigan tighter around her and nodded at Alexa, not bothering to say thanks or anything...Till the chocolates. The older girl's eyes widened and she took them and flashed Alexa a small, weak smile. "Uh...thanks." They'd certainly help. ...Later though. She wasn't about to sit down and start pigging out on the chocolates in front of anyone.

She wasn't about to share or anything.

It was hard enough to do that under regular circumstances.

Thank Merlin. West. He could take over responsibility now. She could just mourn. And mope. And blow her nose on proper utensils thanks to Ella. Eh. Not a great day really. She SHOULD be celebrating getting a proper bed back again but noooooo.

The Circle of Life had another plan for her.

Kat now. And...that looked like it. She nodded sadly when the older girl told her how everything will get better. Of course it would. But for the moment it suck. *heavy sigh* At least she had stopped crying now. And, hopefully for the last time, "Thanks for coming.......Kit-Kat." Cause even saying the nickname made her feel a teensy weensy bit better.

"...I think I saw a shovel..somewhere around here."
