Hannah raised her hand. " Perhaps Scarab bettle, professor." That was used in Skele-gro right? That grew bones... maybe it would work in a growth unction? " If you were making Skele-gro" She added, "then you could have a user for Scarab people. Quote:

It had to do something with growing... or adding, increasing... or maybe swelling? Yeah, swelling is somehow related to adding right? The swelling solution would work... or that bulge eye potion thingy ma bob.
"Bat Spleens is an ingredient from the Swelling Solution so maybe it can be possible to use it in the growth unction as well..." Yeah, Kat wasn't sure. She could've answered flobberworm mucus if it meant it was a thickener or whatsoever it was. Yeah, Kat needs to know more about her potion ingredients and their effects. " Bat speens, Good." She said nodding. Quote:

"Perhaps dragon saliva?" she asked after raising her hand. " Close Prefect Hollingberry, but not the saliva." She said. Quote:

With her usual pout, Renesmee listened carefully as the Professor asked questions and the rest of the class answered. She really wanted to say something and put her input, but she truly could not think of anything to say. She like a lot of the time was too distracted into other thoughts.
Ingredients? Ahh! Maybe she could try her luck with a guess? No? Worth a try? Yeah?
Raising her hand, Nessie waited her turn. "Professor, possibly dragon dung?" Okay that was RAAAANDDOOOM! But who knew? Maybe some of it was right? " No... but good guess. A part of a dragon is used in this potion, but it's the liver." She said. Quote:

Belle was copying those ideas in her notebook seeing if they were right. But then Belle had an idea. "Professor would Fluxweed be used in this potion?" Belle asked tentatively. They used that ingredient before and why not suggest it. " Yes. Very good, because of it's changing properties, Fluxweed is quite an important ingredient." She said. Quote:

People say that less is more, but I often times disagree. Maybe your pants have grown too short for your height, and you'd like them to be longer. Or what if it suddenly gets colder, and you're in short sleeves? I think this potion could help with situations like that one. Sierra was quiet as she thought about a few answers to that question. She still wasn't really into class today, but she was going to at least try and make an effort. She scribbled a few ideas on her parchment then raised her hand. "What about Re'em blood?" she suggested. " It's useful in giving the drinker an immense strength temporarily, so...maybe those properties," ...the ones that give the strength, she meant... "are used to help other things grow?" Also... "Puffer-fish eyes might also help things swell, since...that's basically what the Puffer-fish does."
Heh...Puffer. " Very good with the Re'em blood, Prefect Greingoth," she said and nodded her head. She'd already answered the Pufferfish eye suggestions. Quote:

"Professor, Scarab Beetles are used for Skele-gro so perhaps they could also be used in potions that are used to grow other things too." Shrug. It was really the only thing she could think of at the moment but she thought it best to at least offer up a possible ingredient. " That's a good guess, but no. Even though you are growing bones with Skele-gro, you are creating them from practically nothing... this growth potion just doubles the current size." She explained. Quote:
Originally Posted by DecemberMoon Hmmm, ingredients that could make things grow... She listened to the other guesses. Puffer fish makes sense, since the toxins could make things swell up. What other things expand? She thought about those strange foam toys that grew when you put them into water and wondered what they were made of. Not likely that anything in them would be used in the magical world though. The image of the cakes in Alice in Wonderland crossed her mind, but those were edible so they couldn't have anything to do with this - plus they were just in a story anyway. Bee stingers could make things swell up...but I don't see how they'd apply to non-organic objects. She wasn't really sure and couldn't think of anything, so she just took notes instead. " Right. They wouldn't really. A swell is a temporary thing, while this would be permanent." She explained. Quote:

So, raising his hand, he answered, "Caterpillars? I know they're used in a Shrinking Solution... except, I'm not really sure why. Maybe they help with the, I dunno, elasticity of what's shrinking.... so they could help with growth, too?" " Good guess, but no..." She said Quote:

She raised her hand. "Bat spleen?" she offered. What? This was a potion that wasn't supposed to be ingested. And obviously nobody wanted to drink bat spleen. "I think it's been used in some types of swelling solution...?" Or that could have been a lie. The only thing she was sure was used was pufferfish eyes. And everyone had already suggested that.
Maybe she should have suggest the entire pufferfish? " Yes. Batspleens are used." she said. Quote:

"Water.... possibly because it is used in many potions as the base ingredient." So if it was in other potions, it might as well be in this potion as well. The third year couldn't remember having a potion without it. She smiled weakly. " Yes, it is a water base." Quote:

She turned her back on her, then looked for a seat and waited for the class to start.
The class has started. Professor Hadley then started the class by telling to brew a Growth Unction. Hmm...growth unction will make things larger? That's pretty cool and useful., she thought to herself. It doesn't matter if it's not used for food as long as it can enlarge things.
She then answered Professor's question about the use of the unction. "Professor, unction is important. You don't want to be hanging around with a large tent or something. Besides, you can seal the small thing in a hand bag or something, well, unless you have a shrinking potion of course.", Befelda explained. She wasn't sure if she hit the right answer.
Befelda has thought of few ingredients which she thought can be used for the growth unction. "Uhmm...Professor, I'm not sure if these ingredients would fit the unction but I know Crocodile heart and Eye of newt can be used for some growth potions.", she exclaimed. She was 60/40 sure about it as she read about some growth potions before. I hope it's right. " Yes. Newt is used in this potion. But it's the leg we use." She said.
" One more ingredient... can anyone guess?" Seemed like everyone was done. " Believe it or not, it's yeast."
She turned to the board of tapped it with her wand: Ingredients - Water
- 1 Dragon Liver
- 1 Fluxweed Root
- 1 cup of Bubotuber Puss
- 1 teaspoon of Yeast
- 5 Pufferfish Eyes
- 1 Leg of Newt
- 2 Bat Spleens
- 3 drops of Re'em Blood
" Go get your ingredients." She said shooing them with her hand.
