Alexa slowed down considerably when she got back to the gate of the play pen. It was empty inside, just as they'd left; no Pepper in sight.

Swinging the gate open she walked in rather cautiously. Her eyes were glued to the ground. Checking for any sight of that plant. It could have been waiting for its next meal and she wasn't very interested in that position.

Lex made her way to the centre of the playground then looked down. "Here. This is where we were with Millie then that plant thing crawled onto Minnie and started slapping. " The scene replayed in the 11 year old's mind. The poor creature being hauled off...squealing and crying as it did...

She looked to a side of the fence then pointed. "She got dragged that way so I'm guessing the plant is somewhere in that direction." If that's where the plant was then they could try going after it.
