Jade rolled her eyes as Derek handed her the gloves. She definitely wasn't planning on touching anything but he was right better safe than sorry. She put them on.
Seeing that he was glaring at her more than usual made Jade feel satisfied. Had Derek really honestly thought that she would actually stay quiet? That was so adorable of him. As if she would be quiet on this interesting case that she had a feeling that sooner or later Althea would tell her to look at the infected's memories. So she had every right to be here. She did like whenever possible to get as much as possible in terms of background information before she went and looked at the memories. So she would know what to look for.
Just then a paper plane came flying at her. She smiled apologetically to the men and stepped aside to read it. They, of course, took no notice of her. After finishing to read the message which was from Althea notifying her that she was now attached to the case. She stepped back to the table.
"It is official. I'm now the Reminisciator attached to the "Droolers" case." She announced. "Aron, who else is on your team working on the case? I need to get in touch with them in order to get in touch with each of the known droolers to get their memories from them."
Her demeanor towards Aron completely changed now that she was officially attached to the case. Yes, she did have a crush on him but there was no way that she would let it affect her work. And if she was hoping that she got to work with him on this case? Well that was a lovely bonus...which she should not think about too much in case it distracted her from her actual job.
