Cece hadn't planned on kissing William like that, just like she hadn't planned on blurting out to everyone in ear shot that she was in love with him. It just happened before she could stop herself. It was as if she had no control over what she said or did when it came to that man tonight.

It wasn't until he pulled away from her that she realized he didn't return her kiss. "Yeah, of course I'm alright. I just wanted to you know, let you know how I really feel say goodbye since you're not coming back next term."

Feeling her face turn red she started to back away from him. What she really wanted to do right now was just leave the Great Hall and go back to her office to be alone. She had just made a total fool of herself in front of the whole school, and for what? Just to be asked if she was alright.
