Landon Hughes was sitting on the sixth floor corridor, wide-eyed, and flinching just a bit as he stared at the wall. He had just recieved a letter from his cousin, Andrew, a few minutes ago that would impact his life forever.
SPOILER!!: Andrew's Letter
Dear Landon,
Just wanted to let you know that you've always been my best mate and the best cousin ever. Even with your silly hair products all over the house and the silly arguments we had over your oreos, I could really count on you. Especially the jam sessions we had and even performing at the park around the corner, that was probably the best times of my life.
You know all the great memories we had and I've cherished them in my heart forever, Landon. You're a great kid and I know you'll soon realize you don't have to try so hard to be one. Be yourself and figure out what to do with your life. I love you, man and it's hard for me to send you this letter, because I know I haven't been completely honest with you. So here it goes;
I have an illness. I horrific illness and that's why I haven't been sending letters to you, I didn't want you to worry about me. The doctors said that I have only a few months to live, but...if you're recieving this letter...I didn't make it.
Don't take your anger out on others like I know you do. Just remember the good times we had okay? And here I go crying...just....remember, I'm always here for you even if I'm not actually here.
I love you man and keep the oreos safe, as well as your sister.
Sincerely, Guitar Boss, Andrew
The letter was laying beside Landon's hand as he continued to stare, his wet, tearful eyes dark and silent. He was done with screaming...so far and he just couldn't think right now. He just couldn't.
