You know what would be NICE? To have the library on the Grounds. On a tree. Not the Whomping Willow, of course, because that would be counterproductive to having a quiet place to focus, but yeah. Outside.
Or was she the only one who enjoyed reading between branches? Then she heard a bag being opened, excellent hearing, you know and it happened to be opened by the only Hufflepuff she'd wanted to meet since the Quidditch match, because basically, he was the reason they won, no?
With zero books around, the little girl focused her blue eyes on the window too, and simply cleared her throat. Nom... nom... nom...
Alec was just mindlessly eating sweets and maybe spying on people down in the grounds looking up at the sky. It was perfect flying weather, really. You know, besides the wind and all. He couldn't have his hair flying all over his face and then miss all the oranges he was meant to be catching.
Later. When it was less windy and he didn't have any sweets left. THEN he'd go and catch some oranges. Nodnod.
And then came a... sound and Alec blinked, looking at the window for any reflection. There... was a girl standing there. Like right behind him! Scary or what? The Hufflepuff turned around on the spot to look at the girl face to face. Hmmm... she looked familiar... but he didn't really know where he had seen her before. And why had she come to stand right near him?
The answer came to him almost instantly and he held out the bag of sweets towards the girl. "Sweeties?" Everyone liked sweets, right?
