"The number of gnomes in the garden is not random, each House has been allocated an equal amount, your task, is to de-gnome as many of your Houses garden gnomes as possible within the allocated time frame." From her pocket, Seren produced four different coloured ribbons. They were red, blue, green and gold. "Each gnome has a ribbon around its neck, be sure you don't accidentally de-gnome an opposing Houses gnome... unless you're feeling generous."

"There is to be no wand waving... no leg locker jinxes, freezing charms... nothing... or else you'll find yourself out of class and in detention. Got it?" The last thing she needed was students waving wands and misfiring. Cece would have a fit if a bunch of them wound up in the hospital wing, concussed or with injuries that were awkward to explain...

"When your House has eliminated all its gnomes, I will announce your next instructions..."

"Are there any questions?" ....

"You may begin!" And with that, Seren flicked her wand which saw the sheet flying off to the side, revealing a garden ridden with gnomes.

OOC INSTRUCTIONS:

[1] The amount of gnomes is known only to me.
[2] You may de-gnome (over the fence) any gnome... but you must indicate which House it was from by titling your post -- if you fail to do this -- I will fail to count your gnome.
[3] Chatting, team work and fun is encouraged.
[4] Do not RP for the gnomes, you may only RP catching and de-gnoming them.
[5] You must fist RP catching the gnome in ONE post, then RP de-gnoming it in another. i.e. not both in one post. If a gnome decides it doesn't want to be degnomed, or if it decides to struggle, it will say so.
[5] You may only de-gnome ONE gnome per post.
[6] Minimum number of posts for full credit is 10.
[7] Bonus points are available for all Houses.

If you have any questions you are welcome to ask them IC or you may VM/PM me at any stage.

This activity will last approximately 48 hours. Depending.

Minerva was listening to all the answers that were going on around her about what they might be doing today, then a comment made her really look.. GNOMES.. Could they really be working with Gnomes. She had done not just one, but two homework assignments on Gnomes this year. A huge smile crossed her face on the thought of actually getting to work with these creatures that she was just so curious about. Still feeling they got a bad reputation and were mistreated, she thought this could be the chance to learn if there were better ways to handle them.

Then Professor Bentley said the activity and she cringed a bit, not a better way, just degnoming them. A frown crossed her face thinking of the way students were going to be towards the little creatures. Oh this was not going to set well watching these creatures get bruised up just for house points. Still Minerva couldn't help, but be excited to finally see a Gnome and maybe handle a Gnome. She listened to the steps and then got up to start the activity.

SPOILER!!: Gnome

They were grumbling and mumbling as they went about their business.

Minerva got up and smiled as she watched the other students quickly start, but then frowned when she saw students jumping on gnomes and being rough. She didn't want to be rough with them. Looking at Ethan she gave a small smile, "I hope non of them get hurt." She knew most would think she was nuts for saying that, but she just didn't care.

As she walked around she spotted a little Gnome alone. Walking quietly, but nicely to it she reached down picking it up. Smiling towards it she was going to try and be nice. "Well hello little Gnome" They were kind of cute really. "I'm going to just take you and place you somewhere else so your not bothering this garden anymore." She kept her voice calm not to upset the gnome hoping this way would work. Looking around she saw students swinging Gnomes around and frowned seeing Ethan doing it as well. Well that was what they were suppose to do wasn't it. She really didn't want to do that to the poor things.
