Cassia would've naturally stormed the girl with questions but she was now busy casting spell and stuff.
The second-year reached for the abandoned notebook and checked the incantation one last time. She didn't want to cast another spell accidentally. Better keep the aftermath of this practice session clean."Torparticus.." She said just reminding herself how the spell sounded. "Okay, don't worry I cast it on my own fingers at class and they are still solid and attached to my hand." She reassured the ravenclaw.
Raising her hand up and aiming it at Louisa's hand. Cassia nodded reassuringly at the older girl before jabbing her wand at her fingers."Torparticus!" she uttered. And immediately the fingers...well were like Jelly. Cassia looked away once she made sure she got the spell right. She inserted her notebook and wand into her wand. Because the Head Girl would be able to stop the spell. And leaving the girl to enjoy her jellied fingers, Cassia reached for the cat and scooped her up scratching behind her ears and under her neck.
"Not so pleasant, huh?" she said her eyes never leaving the cat.
That was why working with younger kids was not Louisa's big moments. They paid so little attention to basically anything that doesn't taste sweet or feel sticky, and now Cassia revised the spell incantation once before quickly putting the notebook aside and talking about her epic skills in the torparticus hex. The Ravenclaw nodded slowly and doubtfully, at least the girl did practice in class? And like she said, was still alive and finger-ish.
BAM. Louisa's fingers went limp and numb all at once, she frowned down at them as she wiggled her hand. They flailed about making her wince. "
Yeah. You did it perfectly." Her voice wasn't proud really, she was just pointing out a fact. Cuddles was snuggling against Cassia's body, happy with the attention and the snug. The seventh year used her other hand to do a finite on her jinxed fingers, and like professor Romanos had said Louisa felt the blood rush through her veins tingling before the fingers felt normal again.
Yeah, not a very pleasant practice.
"
You can play with Cuddles for a while. I'll be writing down my notes over there." She offered the girl a measured smile before moving to where her backpack laid on the floor and taking a spot near it. She took a parchment and her quill out.
