Last time she got in trouble for breaking her wand and the Professor clearly said that it didn't matter whether or not she'd broken some part of her so they were clearly not opposed to violence. Something Laura should have taken into serious consideration.

Once her hand was back to normal she braced herself yet again. This time she couldn't feel anything below her wrist.

Okay. That...was...supposed to happen, yes? Yes. "I think you got it right this time, great--now fix it." It was right; no need to dwell on it.
