"And they will like you, just as I like you." He stopped at his tracks when it dawned on him that his face is so close to Laura's face. His mind went a million places at once. He wanted to kiss her, but is too soon? And if he skips out on kissing her, would it make her upset? OH MY GOD! Are my lips dry? What was the last thing I ate? Pizza? Cookies?! Does my breath smell chocolately from the cookies I had? Or does it smell like pepperoni? Why didn't I brush my teeth before I came down here?!

He cleared his throat and quickly turned his head away, looking down at his folded legs. "So, um, yeah...My family is important to me and I love them. Ana is like a mother to me..." His sentence dropped again, due to feeling bothered by his emotions. He didn't know what to do - kiss her or not kiss her. Mick felt unprepared and inexperienced, maybe she wants someone with more experience. He couldn't tell what she was feeling and that drove him crazy the most, he doesn't know what girls think. "I'm being lame right now," he accidentally said outloud.
