The cold, was one of the things Nessie despised most. Besides that, there was nothing she liked about the cold weather. She preferred summer over it any day. Still even through the cold she continued through the corridors now almost by the courtyard, when she spotted a younger looking student.

At first she didn't take too much notice, but then Puffles began darting off towards the younger girl and began nibbling on the girls shoe.

Attention seeker he was, in Nessie's opinion. With a small sigh, Ness headed closer towards the girl.

Melanie let out another sneeze. Ach. She hoped she wasn't getting sick or anything... that would be horrible. Melanie hated getting colds and she never got them often either. The girl sneezed again. Crossing her fingers, she really hoped she wasn't-

What was that thing?!

Melanie stopped walking and stared at the ball of fluff in front of her. It was actually really close to her shoes. Or her cousin's shoes. She had borrowed them but forgotten to return them. Really, she ought to do that. Melanie bent down, squatting, and stared at the furry creature. What was it? Why was it so fuzzy? Was it a bunny? She was about to reach out her hand to pet it before she realized what the thingy was.

And it wasn't a bunny.

Standing up quickly, she took a giant step back. Achooooo.

"GET RID OF IT!!" Melanie exclaimed, flailing her arms and moving closer to the wall of the corridor. The pygmy puff would stick its tongue up her nose and eat her snot! And if the the thing belonged to a Slytherin... it would eat her! "PYGMY PUFF ALERT! PYGMY PUFF ALERT!!" Melanie continued to flail, not taking her eyes off of the creature. If she did... it would attack. And she'd be in its tiny stomach!!!
