Oh geez. This one was a talker, perhaps she ought to have claimed that the seat was reserved... for her
sanity. In an attempt to control herself, Emily started shoveling food in her mouth and chewing it diligently. Food. The ultimate distraction AND tranquilizer. She did manage a nod in the woman's direction though.
"Em--mily," she mumbled, accidentally spitting bits of food on the table between them. Whoops. After swallowing, she did something stupid. Or rather, SAID something stupid.
"Do you always talk this much?" she asked, forgetting social etiquette. It was weird enough that
people talked so much, it was weirder and WORSE when they rambled on about meaningless things just for the sake of
chit chat. A concept she clearly didn't understand the purpose of.
