Milton and Taryn were the right people for sure. She'd always hoped they'd be.
Hehehe. Taryn giggled after their 'last' kiss. "Happy Valentine's Day to you too, even if you don't like it as much as I do." Yeah, she knew that and she knew he'd been trying to make her happy. It was sweet. She tilted her head, "Milton?"
It took Milton a moment to realize what she meant, but he understood after a moment. She told him it was possible to be friends with your ex. Milton smiled softly and nodded.
"Yes, you did. And I didn't believe you until now." Because up until that moment, Milton hadn't had a relationship that ended well enough to be friends with his ex. He was glad it ended this way, though.
Milton chuckled a little.
"I like it just fine." It wasn't his favorite holiday though.
"Yeah?" he asked.
