Right? It was a little weird.
But was he following..? "It's sort of like our dating has run it's course? We let it happen and it did and... maybe it's done?" She was going to feel AWFUL if he wasn't in the same mind frame as she was right now. AWFUL. She'd already done this once, she didn't want to do it again.
Oh, well that was a relief. Maybe this was all a mutual feeling that was happening. Milton couldn't help but smile too.
"It's... okay. I guess there are some things that need to be said." He didn't really know what they were, but Taryn seemed to be doing a good job at doing the talking.
Milton nodded slowly, processing what she was saying. And it made perfect sense. They had been friends for a while last year, but there was obviously something more that they needed to get out of their systems. And now that they had... maybe they were just done. Milton suddenly had the urge to laugh. And he did. It wasn't a loud laugh because nothing was
funny. In fact, he wasn't sure WHY he laughed, but it was just a quiet, short chuckle.
"I... Yeah. I agree." Maybe it was done. And... it was okay.
