Kurumi was practically gnawing on her lower lip right now, especially after hearing the tone that Daichi had taken with her. This was it, she was going to lose her pseudo little brother...and Kurumi just didn't have the strength nor the emotional stamina to explain the whole story in its entirety. "It's more complicated than that," she said softly. Like it had hadn't been the first time she had been left like that. "He was gone 6 months and I wrote him all the time but nothing came back..."
Maybe Daichi was still too naive to understand the situation. He probably didn't really see how fragile Kurumi was emotionally either. The latter was probably very true, especially when one considered how much he looked up to her. So many younger students put Kurumi up on some sort of pedestal, saw her as being perfect, but she was perhaps one of the most emotionally fragile people at Hogwarts. Stronger now, of course, but still very emotionally fragile - which was probably why she was able to get close to so many students.
"I know..." she said, trailing off and bracing herself for Daichi's prompt exit to follow, only he didn't. Instead he stayed right where he was said that he didn't want to lose their friendship. The Gryffindor chanced a glance at Daichi now, something that somewhat resembled a smile tugging on the corners of her lips. "I don't want that either. You're really important to me, Daichi. I hope you know that."
Kurumi sort of just gawked at Daichi for a moment. Wait...WHAT ABOUT JULIET?! Blinking a few times, it was her turn to process what was being said. Indy? He had kissed her? Kurumi wasn't too much of a fan to be honest, not after she head lead Daichi on for a while like that and then gone out with Dylan all of a sudden. She had seen how crushed Daichi had been and Kurumi did not buy for one second that Indy didn't know what she had been doing.
A kiss....Kurumi was seriously one of the last people to go to for dating advice and the like. Daichi should see that now too. She HAD just admitted to cheating on Jonathan after all. Her and Lewis had started with a kiss. A kiss that had completely snowballed into something amazing. She could tell from the way Daichi was blushing now that he really liked Indy...although she had been sure that he and Juliet had had a connection. Or maybe it was just wishful thinking?
"I...I don't know..." she answered honestly. "I mean, I don't know how you feel about the kiss..." No wonder her brothers and Treyen never liked talking to her about Lewis and relationships...because this was awkward.
