And, maybe she was overreacting just a tad, but as the daughter of two doctors she heard loads of stories where people thought they were fine but something terrible happened.
And Anya was NOT letting Milton become one of those stories.
She glanced between the tie in her hand and Milton. "For your eyes." she said. She'd have offered sunglasses if she had any on her, but she didn't. So her tie would have to do.
"I'm serious Milton." she said with a frown. "You just... can't play..." she frowned deeper. "Not when you're like this..."
Milton's eyebrows furrowed as he stared at the tie. He shook his head and closed his eyes, resting his forehead on Anya's knee.
"No, I'm fine," he grumbled quietly. But no one seemed to believe him.
Probably because he was a liar. "I'm serious too, Anya. I'm not letting my team down again just because of some stupid headache." Milton rubbed one of his temples and sighed.
"I am completely fine." Yes, and that is why he was curled up on the couch in a dark corner with his head in Anya's lap acting like a total baby. Because he was fine. Really.
