But he did manage to catch the part where the woman questioned the information being given to her. "ALL of them!" he said, floating into view and answering her question but trying not to be too loud. An achievement for him it must be said.

The Friar was usually a jolly chap, but Peeves was the one thing that could get on his transparent nerves. "I heard talk of them being thrown out first. THROWN OUT. Surely that has to be Peeves?"

She crossed her arms over her front and cocked her head to the left a little bit, "Yes, all of the houses are locked out..." she said reiterating what the Friar had said. "All I know is that the Ravvies were literally thrown out of their Common Room completely unexpected and Professor Cerulean is up there trying to figure out the cause..." she paused for a moment to let that sink in.

"Well, this just sounds like a prank that Peeves would orchestrate to get attention from us all...I saw we put him in a barrel and salt him to trap him for a little bit...maybe that will convince him to unlock everything..." she said still with her arms crossed...why this Peeves character hadn't been exorcised years ago she would never understand...
"Thrown out?" Anastasia echoed the Fat Friar with a frown. Her focus on the lockout had her forgetting her fear of ghosts, temporarily, and she was able to stand up from her throne and start pacing in front of it. "I don't know if Peeves of capable of producing the kind of magic that requires this supposed eviction."

Because no, she still hadn't heard from her staffers whether this was legitimate or not. She raised her eyebrows at the Grey Lady and held up her hands in a shrug. "That's fine by me. Trap Peeves if you want. Get him to confess. See if that solves anything. In the meantime... I'm going to be down here, trying to arrange sleeping quarters for the students in case your 'barrel of salt' trick doesn't work."

She gave the ghosts a swift nod and headed down the stairs of her throne, to the few students that were still waiting.

"Clear out, everyone, let's go! We need this space for something, I'm sorry, sad to say, but return to Common Rooms..." or their entrances.... "if you can, please. The event is OVER."

"The house elves told me how much you liked pink which is why I went for a pink theme with the icing." They had actually said that the woman's entire office was pink - something that Kurumi had yet to see actually.

Just as Kurumi was about to speak more, the house ghosts appeared - and quite suddenly as well. Eyes widened just a bit, Kurumi figured now was a good a time as ever to take her leave. "G-Good evening," she greeted each of them (Sir Nicholas got an especially wide smile though) and then turned her attention back to the Headmistress. "I should be getting back to the ovens. I'll be sure to let the house elves know that you liked the cookies."

And with one more small bow she was off and making her way back towards the strong scent of gingerbread and Lewis.
"You did a very good job, Kurumi," the Headmistress assured the prefect, patting her on the shoulder as she passed by the girl. "Before you go though, can you do me a favor? Help me clear out this event. It looks like we're going to have to shut down a bit early due to a... change of circumstances."

Yes, she was talking about the lockout.

When the ghoses entered the pink stage, Olivia listened to their news. She had not been in he common room when the students were thrown out. Now, she was deffinatly heading to the kitchen soon to see if the house elves knew anything. It couldn't be a ghost that stole the brooch could it? She would then ask some of the ghosts and maybe portraits about what else was going on in this crazy school.
"In my office," Annie answered crisply, turning to the Slytherin and giving her the same prepared speech. "Go look for it in your common room for now, if you would... we need to start cleaning up the Great Hall. Thaaaanks!"

It sounded devious enough to work... It also helped that it didn't sound like there was anyway they could get caught. Though seeing as it was the Headmistress who was giving them these instructions, did it really matter? She was the one who threatened to expel her for acting up but at the moment she was encouraging it! What more did she need? Nooothing.

"Pssh, of course we can handle that. Piece 'a cake." After all she'd done already this didn't seem nearly as difficult. GRIN.

This was going to be very...interesting...

Seri couldn't wait for this. Lafay would hate them.

WHATEVER...
"Excellent." The redhead clapped her hands and smiled evilly at the two girls. "Rest assured that I will be in contact, children. For now, return to your common rooms, please. The event is over."

And with that, the Headmistress flicked her wand and sent out more patronuses, to the Prefects this time, asking them to start cleaning up their beautiful Winter Wonderland.
