Floating up next to the Grey Lady he fired of a warm beam in Headmistress Truebridge direction who looked sort of shell-shocked. Had the Grey Lady scared her?

He exchanged a brief glance with his dear old friend before saying earnestly to the Headmistress. "All the students have been evicted from their common rooms and can't get back in." And the Baron thinks that its Peeves work. Sir Nicholas didn't utter that suspicion though.

The primary concern was to find a suitable place for his precious lion cubs to sleep for the night. After that was sorted they could discuss possible culprits.

She shook her head up and down in agreement with the Gryffindor ghost. "Yes, and we think Peeves might have had a hand in it...it just screams his handy work..." she said the statement with pure distaste...she did not understand that creature at all.
Anastasia tensed up even further when Nearly Headless Nick joined the Grey Lady's side. For the love of all things solid... why did the one who was ALMOST headless have to be here? Really? They couldn't send the warm, welcoming Friar??!?

Forget moving to somewhere out of earshot. Annie frowned and tapped her fingernails on her throne. "What am I to do about it? Are you sure ALL students have been locked out?" That seemed a bit unlikely, and Annie wasn't sure she could trust a ghost's word anyway.

"Let's just see what the Heads of House think of this all...." she murmured, flicking her wand into her hand and sending four roaring Nundu patronuses off to the various offices of her Heads of House.

In the meanwhile... "Tell me more about this lockout," she murmured toward the ghosts, trying not to shiver too visibly. Her encounter with the Spector had certainly left her scarred. "What makes you think it's Peeves' fault?"
