Heh. ‘Right’, she nodded, picking another decoration from the box and looking for a spot on the tree where to hang it.
And then…
…. the inevitable happened.
Jory just asked about Ari, making Gwen draw her attention away from the decoration she had just placed on one of the tree branches. ‘I ummm…’ Come on. He just asked if she had seen her around. Just that. ‘Well, yes, but I haven’t really talked to her’, she finally replied. She really missed spending time with Ari. ‘How about you?’
‘Umm...’Where Are You Now’… It was the first book written by her that I could find’, Gwen said. ‘I really liked it’, she finished talking. Muggle books turned out to be quite interesting, and Gwen was glad she found out about some of them from Jory.
Jory grinned.
"It's the best time of the year,'' he said simply. Though he missed everyone back home. He had informed his parents he'd be staying at Hogwarts for the holidays but hadn't given a reason. They seemed to understand his choice despite that.
"I haven't gotten much time to talk to her either,'' the Puff said.
"I've got her present and everything.'' That reminded him.
"I've got something for you, too,'' he told Gwen. It was up in his dorm all wrapped and ready.
"I haven't read that one,'' he mused. Since Gwen now approved of Muggle books now, he was sure she would like his present. He had put a hold on reading- for now at least. OWLs were fastly approaching.
