"I see." That was understandable. "I'm sure you could learn a little more, add to the plethora of languages you have already." He just wanted to see Gavin grunt and point. He was tempted to give Elizabeth a half sympathetic, half amused look, but again, refrained. Poor woman needed approval from Pigreader.

There was some truth to this. Artifacts tended to see a lot in their time, though they didn't have any way of telling them what had been seen. "I see, well, you'll do well with that attitude." He remembered being at the bottom of the job chain, being trodden on daily. He certainly didn't miss it.
