Mariel's smile relaxed into a more genuine one as the woman spoke. Oh good, she had assumed correctly.."Yes, mine as well," she confirmed with a nod. "Oh really?" she added as the woman continued. "I'm new in town myself.. I've spent the last few years in New Zealand." The woman did some quick mental calculations.. had it been six years already?

Green eyes twinkled with amusement. She was starting to feel at ease and hadn't realized that she had been talking without offering her name either. "Nice to meet you Victoria.. I'm Mariel Morgan." She glanced at a few of the others standing around, eyes lingering on a select few. Turning back to Victoria, she added, "So what department are you in?"
