For a moment, Dominic hadn't been completely sure that she heard him. It took a moment for her to look away from the window, after all, as she had seemed so . . . transfixed by the passerbys.

"Nobody stares out the window with such intensity and tolerates an aisle seat on a flight," Dominic replied simply. Always something to look at? Maybe so. Even if was simply the sun or the moon or the stars..... which were vastly more intriguing than people-watching. People watching got annoying after awhile because they tended to do the same stupid things over and over again. Entirely overrated.

It wasn't until a moment later, when steaming pizza was delivered to their table, when he realized there was silence. And perhaps she had been waiting for him to speak.

"Yes," he forced a smile. "Always something to look at. And if you look just right, no one ever suspects it." Or maybe it was that no one ever suspected the Hufflepuff, but same thing, right?
