But just as he stood up, Eliza spoke again and he quickly sat back down on his chair. The question made the fifth year blink a couple of times, he'd never had anyone asked him that. His chocolate brown eyes now looked to the ceiling as he recalled how his sorting had went five years ago. "I was a hatstall for about three minutes" he answered the young first year as he looked back down at her. "The sorting hat couldn't choose between Hufflepuff and Slytherin." He bit his lip as he tried to remember what the Sorting hat had said to him. "He said that i was loyal and friendly, but there was ambition and determination as well" he nodded to his own words.

"But i think the reason why i'm in Slytherin is probably because i asked the hat." His big brother had been in Slytherin and when Daichi had been younger he always wanted to be like him. He was like his role model. "I guess i'm persuasive as well" he laughed. "Oh and i have the tendencies to steal cute things....so if you have something thats cute and its gone, i'm sorry" O_o

And now, the girl had probably already thought the question was coming. "What about you? you always felt you belonged in Ravenclaw or did you wish you were in another house?"

Oh good, she thought as her tension slid away from her. He's not uncomfortable answering. She listened as he talked about being a hatstall during his sorting. "That's really interesting!" she said. Then he said that he stole things sometimes. Well that's not very nice at all... she thought. But I guess, to his credit, he warns you about it first. I'll have to check my things around him. She was a little saddened by that, but she would try to look past it. "You asked the hat to be in Slytherin?" She wondered what his ambitions might be and in which circumstances would he need to be persuasive. The Slytherin mentality intrigued her, probably because she didn't have many traits that fit - so she didn't always understand their motives. And then as she had predicted, he asked about her own sorting ceremony. "Well, my mom was in Hufflepuff and my dad was in Ravenclaw, so either one would have been fine with me." She thought back to how the hat had ultimately decided, so she shared it. "I think what really tipped the scales was how much I like art. And that I like to think things out a lot of the time. Which, I guess everyone does, but maybe I do it a little more." She smiled. "I really love Ravenclaw now. I think it was the right fit for me." It was nice talking to someone who was interested in her first year. Especially someone in a different house than her.

Her mind went back to what Daichi had said about the Headmistress. "I'm really curious about the Headmistress now..." She shut her sketchpad as she spoke. "Would you mind if I went over and met her? I could tell you what she said. You know, see if she's grumpy to everyone today?" She was up for a little information mission, and this way she could learn more about the red headed woman and also maybe gain some friendship points with Daichi.
