Meeeehhh.

Taking a step forward she gestured for Seri to do the same before turning to the Headmistress with a wide smile. "Helllooooo Headmistress Truebridge!" BEAM. The festive season had made the 11 year especially giddy. This was clearly the case as she addressed the Headmistress with such cheer and enthusiasm. "I didn't know they were hosting a meet and greet for you but I guess they are so I want you to meet my bestest friend ever." This meet and greet was obviously to allow the woman to meet everyone so she was helping her out a bit; she could thank her later because now she would meet Serenity Wheeler and her life would be just as happy.

"And I never got you a letter...sorry..." Technically she wasn't even planning to come over here. "--but if you want I can scribble one real quick!" She offered, smile still perfectly in place. Such a great season it was.
Oh. Good. Merlin. Strike me down with an Avada Kedavra now...

Anastasia subconsciously tensed up at the sight of THE worst Gryffindor ever, and that was saying something, since she had dated some pretty awful Gryffindors in the past. But this one... this one was sure to create a scene in front of EVERYONE in the Great Hall. Annie was half-tempted to check her chair for a whoopie cushion, or her goblet for a bit of poison now. Who had let her into this event in the first place?!

But then the girl spoke and well, she didn't seem TOO disrespectful... yet.... "Yes, well, that's very.........kind of you, Alexa, to bring a friend along. How kind." The girl HAD friends here?! "As for the letter..." the redhead waved her hand and shook her head. "No need. That's just a silly little thing, and a way for perhaps shy students to contact me if they'd prefer."

There was no way this girl was shy, so... Anastasia just tightened her smile and waited for the friend to speak.

But really, she isn't that patient to wait for hours. A few minutes is fine but... NOT HOURS. Kat stood there, patiently waiting for her turn. For the first time.

Wait wait wait wait wait wait.

Oh, at last! It was Kat's turn. The blonde smiled at the Headmistress. A genuine smile. She wasn't that stereotypical, mind you. "Hello Headmistress Truebridge, Merry Christmas!" Kat said. "It's a pleasure to meet you. I'm Katrina Hudson."

Kat thought for a question to ask the Headmistress. Think. Think. Think... AHA! "If you weren't Headmistress, what job would you like to take?" Hopefully, her question wasn't offensive. Kat was just curious, really.
"Hello, Miss Hudson," Anastasia returned the next student's smile with a polite one of her own. "Happy Christmas to you as well." She could see the girl had a question forming in her mind, so she patiently waited a few beats for it to come out.

What job would she have? "Well I used to be a professor, but that's very similar to being Headmistress...." Annie pretended to think, even though the answer was very obvious to her. "But if I were not involved in education at all, I would be an experimental Herbologist and a potions researcher and experimenter with my father. Thank you!"

She held out her hand for the girl to shake.

So it kinda came as a shock to hear the words. Minus five points. The Slytherin suddenly felt like he was shrinking with embarrassment. "I-i've never lost points..." he whispered, more to himself than to the woman. He then looked up and bit his lower lip. "I-i'm sorry, i didn't mean to...i talk before i think, i'm really sorry" He normally never lost his control but when she had hit Mr.Duckles he had snapped. And now he felt bad , he didn't like it that someone didn't like him and that he had just lost points. What would his fellow Snakes saaaay?

He pouted and opened up his school bag before he pushed his stuffed animal back in to it. It's head sticking out of the opening. "I-It's not just a stuffed animal...it's important to me..." he quickly shut his mouth before anything else came out.

And then she continued to talk about her brooch in the same voice as earlier. It sounded like the Headmistress was really feeling bad that she had lost the brooch. Daichi didn't want to think about what would happen if he lost his plush duck. "s-s-sounds like it's really im-important.." Daichi said with a slight stutter in his voice because the woman was kinda scaring him with all the points loss and stuff. And then he got an idea. "If i find the brooch, can i get my points back? pleeease?" Chances were very slim that he actually found it but it was worth the try right?
Oh ho ho ho! So NOW the boy was sorry, was he? ABOUT TIME.

"I seeeee," was all the Headmistress said, in a slow snarl drawl. Her eyes were still narrowed at the boy as he rambled on about points and then finally stuffed his stuffed duck away. Finally. Really, children at that age...

Her eyebrows went up as he mentioned the brooch again and the ice queen's demeanor seemed to melt a bit. She put out a hand toward him, as if she were going to pat his arm, but quickly thought better of it.

"If you find the brooch, darling, sweet, sweet child," no harm in being nice... he COULD have a lead, after all, "I will give you MORE than just your five house points back. I will ADORN you with house points, and praise, and a monetary reward... just find it. Please."

Then her cool smile was back and she was back to sitting rigidly in her chair, as if that were to be her final words to Daichi.

And that small sentence had just made the Headmistress nicer in Ira's books! "Thank you Headmistress" she replied to the Christmas wishes.

And time for the answer to her question. Hm. Ira nodded, Headmistress was a Herbologist before? So weren't Herbologists like, supposed to like greens and browns? Seeing that the flora in nature was all green.. "I LOVE red! And black too.." Ira replied, "But I don't know why, Pink irritates me. I don't like pink much, I hate it actually!" Not just a particular shade, but all pink in general were Ira's kind of allergy. "Each to his own, I guess!" Ira smiled, with a slight frown, wondering if it was right to mention that she hated Pink. Anyways, as she had said, each to his own!

"I hope you'll find your brooch soon, Headmistress." Of course she had heard all about the brooch story. Why was that brooch so important anyways? Something fishy... Wait, what about the summoning spell? Wouldn't it bring the brooch back? "Another question I have.. Can't you use the Accio spell to bring the brooch back?"

Still thinking of that, she said, "So.. Thank you." Ira sought to leave, to proceed to other areas, "Bye Headmistress!"
"Ira Wilson," the Headmistress echoed dutifully. "It's a pleasure." She smiled as the girl said thank-you (look at that, a Gryffindor with manners!) and then went back to her chosen topic of colors.

And her opinions on colors. And her bashing of pink. Good Merlin, she certainly didn't have the makings of a future pink lady!

"Each to her own, of course..." Anastasia found herself agreeing dully. But when the topic of the brooch came up again, she certainly seemed more engaged. "Yes, yes I hope I find it soon too," she said emphatically. "Keep an eye out for it, will you? I HAVE tried summoning it already, but no matter what I seem to do... nothing seems to work!"

She frowned and flicked her wand into her hand to SHOW the girl, in case she didn't believe the Headmistress. "ACCIO BROOCH!!"

And she waited. And waited. And waited. Still nothing.... and Ira was leaving now, so perhaps that was for the better.... "Yes, all right... thank you dear..." Her face crumpled a little as it seemed obvious the brooch wasn't coming back. "Thanks for stopping by...."

She approached the headmistress...ahem? Elliot cleared her throat and raised her eyebrows..."I surely hope we don't have to sit on your lap..." you know, like Father Christmas? Because Elliot was NOT going to do that...NOO.

Sorry!

She smirked, just for good measure, and ran a hand through her blonde hair...hmm? "I'm Elliot Morganzo..." she said, since introductions were...polite, right? Now it was her time...though Elliot was fairly sure who this lady was...she WAS the headmistress, after all...
"I surely hope you don't want to sit on my lap, Miss Morganzo," the redhead returned with a smirk to rival the girl's own. "Elliot, right... what brings you here today?"

Any questions/cards/presents/comments/etc.??

Her father and cousins would be wanting to hear from her.

Why would you want to stay away from Hogwarts?" she asked "Well I suppose it's work and I suppose you would rather be spending time with friends and family?". Olivia would be, any day. But Hogwarts was her home.
"I do, I certainly do," Anastasia warmly replied. The Bunburys were everywhere, as everyone knew. "That's great, dear," she smiled at the girl. "I'm sure they're curious to hear all about your school year." Probably. Maybe. If they were wizards they would be.

Why stay away from Hogwarts? Annie had to be careful about answering this one. "Well... like you said, I DO work here, and my family IS elsewhere.... and Hogwarts, as lovely as it is, has a lot of drama and trauma every year." And she wasn't really a big fan of say, her personal belongings going MISSING.

Ahem. Brooch.

Maybe her and her still pink hair should just stick around here for now? She blended in with the scenery at least.

Yeah, thanks Ella for mentioning Lewis and calling her Sir Lewis' Lady and turning her hair pink.

Spotting the tree, Kurumi was about to just set the box there and scamper back to the cookie decorating that was going on, but she figure she should at least say hello to the Headmistress while she was here. Properly present the gift that her and the house elves had worked on as well.

Waiting her turn, Kurumi bowed slightly - as usual - to the woman seating on her thrown before speaking. "Evening, Headmistress," she chirped while removing the top of the box. "The house elves and I just wanted to give you these to say thank you and Happy Christmas. I can go put them under the tree right now if you'd like." Save them for later if the woman would rather not nibble on them now.
The Headmistress straightened up some as she spotted Kurumi bowing to her as usual. Now that was more like it! What was the point of having a throne, after all, if no one was going to bow/curtsy to you while you sat on it?!

Anyway, on to the girl's gift. The redhead could guess what it was, but she was still very curious to actually see it and open it. "I can open it right now, Miss Hollingberry, if you'd prefer..."

How kind of the darling elves and half-elves, like Hollingberry to think of her! Aww!

Sierra waited for the woman to answer her question. ...and then---WAIT. WHAA?! She had to ask it all over again? She didn't even want to be up here in the first place, yet here she was...somehow. She'd even tried her best to ask an appropriate question, but noooooo. The woman had to be temporarily deaf. BLAHHH.

"I was just wondering," she said again, "...are you related to Tori Bunbury by any chance?" Sierra had been wondering that ever since Cela Toussaint had told her Truebridge used to be a Bunbury.
Aha, there was the question. Anastasia couldn't stop an evil smirk from spreading across her face. She had perfect hearing, thank you, she just wanted to see Sierra squrim.

"I am related to Tori Bunbury, Sierra, how strange that you didn't make that connection sooner," she replied in a smooth, quizzical-sounding tone. "Tori is my cousin. You wouldn't happen to be that same Sierra she mentioned to me the last time we met up, would you? If I recall correctly, she'd talked about a little... encounter you'd had in Hogsmeade..."

Something like that. Annie had only been half-listening to Tori, as the girl was either babbling about someone she didn't like (Sierra/Beauxbatons girls/Sierra) or someone she DID like (her BF/her professor crushes/her fave quidditch players/etc). It got quite tedious to listen to teenagers all the time, really.
