"Never," he finally said. "I always felt that if I ever needed to decide on something, I'd just follow my insticts and do whatever without any regrets. But, that's just my care-free way of living." The truth is, Mick tends to act before thinking and it has landed him in trouble a lot. But he has no regrets. "How rude of me, my name is Mick...and may I ask, what are you having trouble deciding on?"
Ethan nodded solemnly as he listened to the other boy. It made good sense.. but it didn't really help his dilemma. He sighed, then was about to open his mouth to add more when the boy introduced himself. Oops, Ethan felt a bit rude himself.. but he blamed that on having just awakened. Giving him a weak, yet friendly smile, he replied,
"Good to meet you Mick.. I'm Ethan." "But what if your instincts told you one thing.. and before you could act on it, they told you something else?" That was the problem.. or at least part of it. The boy had been somewhat sure of himself until circumstances changed things. And now, though he thought he knew what he wanted, there was still a nagging little voice in the back of his head. Ethan looked over at Mick and thought for a moment before replying.
"Well.. I guess basically I feel caught between two girls.. And whatever decision I make, one of them will be hurt." That part was inevitable really.. he sorta wished he was the kind of guy who could date a string of girls without worrying about the consequences, but he wasn't. And now that he had said the words out loud, he thought his problem sounded kind of dumb.. but it was all his.
