They had come parading their problems on the Pitch and it made the redhead's eye twitch.
So she put her head in her hands and ran her finger's through her hair, "They need to mature now. We have a game tomorrow and Slytherin is really good this year. If they don't pull it together we are going to lose. You and I both know that. And I can't have them trying to maime each other on the Pitch. It isn't healthy." Especially Anya and Penelope. Honestly, she had expected more from the pair of them. They had been best friends for two years and they were letting a BOY get in between them. It was really sad. No boy was ever worth a best friendship, especially not at their age.
Part of her really wanted to sit the two girls down and have them talk it out. They needed to talk it out. This was getting bad and now that people were getting hurt, Selina's patience was wearing thin. Also, while she was at it she was going to lock Keller and Tag together in a room so they worked out their problems. She couldn't have this go on anymore. They needed to work together if they were going to play well.
The prefect watched as Selina seemed to mull over his words, though as she ran her hands through her hair it appeared more as an indication that the stress was back. So much for trying to cheer her up, it looked like now he was to listen and let his girlfriend air her feelings. The older Gryffindor slipping into his role as sympathetic listener as the redhead speoke once more. "Aye, I do," Gideon agreed with a nod. "And they could surprise ye and play their best when it matters most." What was that old adage...bad dress rehearsal good show? Or something like that, he wasn't a theater buff. He wished he could offer a promise that it would work just like that, but all he really could do was offer some kind of weak assurance to her fears. And when it came right down to it...would any of them be so willing to let their team and house down for such foolishness as they displayed earlier?
Gideon would like to think he could trust them better then that. That he and Selina and Kurumi and those who came before had instilled a bit more responsibility and house pride into the younger lions. Time would only tell however. "Too bad its a little late for a nice potion to cool them all off...eh minha lua?" There was a touch of jest to try and ease the tension Selina still appeared to hold within herself, his nickname for her added on the end to add his support.
ooc: minha lua = my moon
