But as he strolled hand in hand with Fliss, he felt happy. Looking down at her when she spoke, he smiled and pulled their interlocked fingers up to his mouth, giving the back of her hand a quick peck. "Me too, it truly is beautiful."
And it was time to make a little confession about what he'd been doing before they'd left the hotel that morning. "Fliss, I hope you don't mind, but I booked us in for a swim with the Manta Rays," he said, licking his lips and stopping on the sand to be able to turn to his wife. "I know you said you wanted to sunbathe a little bit, and we can, I just thought it might be a fun way to spend this afternoon?" He hoped.
Just strolling along the beach with Gabe was pure bliss. If they could stay here forever Fliss wouldn't have minded at all. But she knew how dedicated he was to his work, and she would never take that away from him. It was probably nicer to enjoy this on just vacations, they'd appreciate it more. She smiled, watching as he kissed the back of her hand gently. "Much better than dreary old England." Her parents had tried to push her to move back down to Wiltshire, saying it was at least a bit nicer to look at. She did like London though, even with all it's drearynesss.
Oh. So that was what he had been doing. "It sounds fun." Fliss nodded as she looked up at him. She didn't mind at all. It was surprises like this that made her love her husband so much. "We can always sunbathe another afternoon." and really as long as they were together she didn't mind that they did.
