"Gwen!'' Jory called as he left the spot he was decorating as going over to his friend. "Hello,'' he said. "Nice smile." He grinned- it was one of those rare times when he saw a smiling Gwen. "How are you?''
Soon after finding a place on one of the branches for the ornament, Gwendolyn heard someone call her name. The fifth year drew her attention away from the Christmas tree and tracked down the source of the voice, finally managing to spot Jory.
’Hi’, she offered a smile as she noticed the Hufflepuf approaching the place where she was standing.
’I’m all right’ Well, she was obviously better than just all right at the moment. With the Christmas atmosphere and all... Also- she had almost managed to get used to the whole Joriadne thing...
Almost. ’You?’, the fifth year eventually asked Jory.
‘By the way...', she started saying, remembering that she wanted to tell him something-
'I’ve read one of the muggle books you suggested...’, the girl mused while picking another ornament from the box, then drawing her attention back to Jory, she added:
‘Loved it’ Indeed, the book written by Mary Higgins Clark was now one of her favourites.
