And maybe she was going a bit soft...because of..Maxwell. She had sure been hearing about it lately from various people. Hmph. She didn't know how she felt about that...she certainly had a reputation to upkeep, no? she flipped her blonde hair a bit, then tied it back into a pony. Hmmm.
It was all very interesting. "I think Maxwell...has made me go soft," she finally admitted, letting out a deep sigh. "So it's totally not my fault. But I'm still mean, sarcastic, and obviously very witty. So who I care about isn't a concern of yours, Hannah, dear," she raised a dangerous eyebrow. It was a...statement sent to Hannah NOT to get involved in Elliot's affairs of friends. Because Elliot could take care of herself...Elliot should be the one to take care of Hannah...she was the younger one, after all.
*Eyes*
Get to know her? What if she didn't want to get to know her?
"I'm not going to go out of my way and invite her to tea or anything." Really what did she expect of her? She introduced her to Cora in class and Hannah was polite so that was more than enough. Hannah was not in search of friends and quite frankly she doubted that she would ever be friends with somebody like that.
She completely understood about the whole Maxwell possibly making her soft thing. Her mood softened.
"I understand what you mean." Sure she didn't ahve a boyfriend, but she felt different now that she was noticing guys...especially Ethan, but she wasn't going to bring that up again.
Then Elliot had to go there.
"I've told you before I don't care who you are friends with." by all means be friends with puffers and duffers and whoever else floats her boat. All she was trying to get across was that Hannah should be her best friend. Hannah would always put her before any of her other friends. She didn't think that Elliot felt the same way on that though and that didn't make her feel so good.
"You know what Elliot, I think I need to take a walk." Or something. Clear her mind.
"I'll see you later." She turned on her heel and walked away without a backwards glance.
