Kurumi bit down on her lip and fumbled with her hands in her lap a little before speaking. "I...I feel like I have, professor. I clearly didn't meet someone's expectations or else..." she paused again, eyes briefly meeting her Head of House's gave before flickering down to her badge on her robes. A badge that people had assumed would be different and everyone assuming such had made her assume and...it hadn't turned out that way. Not at all. "Professor...I know it's just a badge...it's not that different from the one I wear...only it is...it is a reminder that again I am not good enough. That I somehow didn't meet someone's expectations. That I failed...just like I always had in my mother's eyes."

Kurumi turned her eyes away from the badge and to her hands on her lap now, not sure if she should go on. It was incredibly selfish of her to say all this right now, but she couldn't help it. She had been working towards this. Working towards breaking the now ten year lack of a Gryffindor Head Girl...and after everything she had done it wasn't good enough. She wasn't good enough. That she had somehow failed.
