Buffet and Seating Area

The seating area consists of six tables for the ten departments in the British Ministry. The table across the top of the room is reserved for Level 2 employees. As the largest department, Magical Law Enforcement need a bit of space. The central table is where the Minister's Office employees each have a seat, including the Minister of Magic himself. The four U shaped tables are where the other departments are arrayed. The leftmost table is reserved for Mysteries and Creatures employees, while the middle left is where Accidents and Catastrophes and Environment employees are to be situated. On the middle right is where you will find Transportation employees, as well as Maintenance employees and new Specialty area employees. And finally, the far right is where Games and Sports and International Cooperation employees will share a table.

Each and every employee will find a little name tag marking their seat at their department's table. Fancy cutlery and plates are in evidence but they are empty until you take them to the buffet tables to pick what you want to eat. There are two buffet tables, one on each side of the big dining room, and when meal time comes, each will boast a cacophony of gastronomic delights. You'll find simple foods like sandwiches, fruit, and a variety of salads, to more substantial things like roast beef, roast chicken, steamed vegetables, gravy, and bread rolls. Later there will even be dessert: trifle, ice cream of various flavours provided by Florean Fortescue's, chocolate pudding, fruit salad, sugared violet pudding, fruit parfait, and apple pie.

Of course employees are more than welcome to pop over to another table to chat with friends and coworkers, but please be sure to return to your assigned seat as requested by the Minister or by the Department Heads. Enjoy!
