"Min...if you look for the worst in someone that's all you'll find...do you want me to ask her to back off?" He asked trying to be a good friend, doing something selfless, maybe that would make up for hurting her. "Thanks....I really am happy, and i hope you find someone that makes you happier than i did...you deserve it." He said with a soft smile at her.
Minerva looked at him, there was no need to keep talking about his mom, his sister, or the anger. It wasn't going to get them anywhere. That was a topic that was going to have to go for him one day at a time. She knew that all to well. It had been almost two years, and it was still hard for her.
She listened and tried to relate, but she couldn't buy that the man was that bad with a girl that had the confidence of a goddess. She thought she was one, but she was wrongly mistaken. "Well all you can do is be there for her, she has to go back, it's her family and her father." Minerva shrugged trying to be supportive. Then she thought for a moment, "No.. don't get involved, I don't want you two fighting because your sticking up for me. That would not look good for you or me in this situation. It could come across as you still liking me or something." That was the last thing either of them needed. "I will just tell him how I feel and see what happens. Even if she is setting him up with her friend, it is Ethan who has to decide to like her, and/or me, so let him decide." she just hoped Elliot wouldn't do anything horrible to try and stop him from liking Min. Then smiling, "Thanks Maxwell.. If I do that's great, but if not.. I have my books."
