"You can have another if you want," Kurumi laughed. She really wasn't in the mood for anything sweet anyway. She had just made several cupcakes and brought them with her because she had hoped that maybe they could make more progress than just the one candle. Chocolate had magical properties in the wizarding world, and not just against the cold effect produced by contact with Dementors.

Kurumi offered Daichi another small smile before sitting down herself and just relaxed. She didn't say anything, mostly to let Daichi reflect on his own and eat his cupcake - allow the effects of the chocolate to sink in without any outside influence. He had a lot to think about...

Which is why Kurumi was a little surprised that Daichi spoke again so soon.

Jonathan... Kurumi bit her lower lip slightly and didn't look at Daichi for a moment. Jonathan had written Daichi...well, of course he had. Daichi was like a little brother to Jonathan, just like he was to Kurumi. It was only natural that he would write...but it made Kurumi wonder who else had received letters from him... and it only brought more attention to the fact that she hadn't. That he still didn't want to have any sort of connection to her. Not that she didn't deserve it. She had just hoped that...

Frowning slightly, Kurumi looked up when Daichi showed her the two hats. "Oh, those are nice. Just in time for winter too," she nodded. "I assume that you are going to use the duck one?"

And then Daichi caught her completely off guard and she gasped slightly. So, he really didn't know. And now she had to tell Daichi about what had happened. "Daichi...Jonathan and I...we..." Kurumi paused for a moment to lace her fingers together and rest them on her lap. "...Jonathan and I aren't together anymore, Daichi. We haven't been for a while now..."
