Kurumi's head snapped around and she looked at the Hufflepuff, her nose wrinkling slightly in anticipation of...a smell? Of something perhaps. Wet himself?!
Hopefully before he noticed, Kurumi's attention was back towards the professor and she covered her mouth to muffle a snort that was trying to get out. Nope...just coughing here. Nothing to see really. Kurumi even pretended to scribble down a few more notes on her parchment.
Isn't hard? Nope. Just ridiculous guesswork. Nothing hard about that. Kurumi could just make things up.
And then Kurumi's jaw dropped and her eyes widened. Holy chocolate chips! Had she misjudged this woman!? Kurumi didn't even see who it was that had insulted Tinka - not that it really mattered at the moment - and her attention was entirely on the Divination professor and how she had just stood up for the house elf AND taken points for insulting them.
Okay, professor, you just earned yourself some cookies and a visit by this Gryffindor to your office by this Gryffindor so that she could show her appreciation for this moment.
Kurumi ducked under her desk for a moment, taking a peek around to see if the broach was here...but assuming that it wasn't. She didn't really see the Headmistress coming around up here...
Unless...
"Um...has anyone spoken to the Bloody Baron about speaking to Peeves about the missing broach?" Kurumi asked, her question pointed mostly at the professor. She had heard that Toddles had been under suspicion, but wasn't sure if anything there had been conclusive.
And just WHY was the Headmistress so obsessed with this broach anyway?
Kurumi searched a little more, naturally finding nothing, and then sat back up in her seat. Was lying down REALLY necessary? Kurumi furrowed her brow for a moment and then returned her attention to her parchment. Okay...so she really did not remember her dream at all... but there were flashes of a few things that came to mind, so she might as well write those down for now before partnering up.
Clutching her parchment, Kurumi turned herself around in her seat. "Anyone want to partner up?"
The badger began searching the are around his desk for the missing brooch but he found nothing.
Jory preferred to work on his own really, so he wasn't too happy about finding a partner. No one ever seemed to want to partner up with him. But obviously this lesson required one so he looked around for someone familiar.
And they had to lie down? He heard Kurumi asking about a partner, just then. "
Me, if you don't mind,'' he said hopefully.
