"Sure...I'll let him know." Yep. Nodnodnod. "He won't object. He's a bit...sad right now. His mother died over the summer..." which was something those two had in common! Dead mothers! What a horrible thing to think, Elliot!....oh well. *Fail*
Oh, no. "Manolo? Your cousin? She'd heard of him, she thought. "You should send it soon, then." Like...now.
Ah, spoiling. Elliot liked getting stuff, right? Presley still could not help but feel really jealous, and kind of upset that her friend had a boyfriend, and Presley hadn't even had a date yet. It wasn't really fair.
Presley felt an instant pang in her heart when Elliot mentioned dead mums. Poor Maxwell. How could Presley resent him like this when he was mourning the loss of the person who had probably cared for him more than anybody else on earth? That's what mothers were for after all. Her hand went unconsciously to the bracelet she never went without. It had been her mum's. Poor Maxwell.
"Yeah. He's only a couple of years older than me. But I had lunch with him at the Three Broomsticks the other day and he noticed I wasn't talking about Zebhidiyah. So I'm going to run up to the Owlery and send this letter right now. I'll see you later?" Presley gathered up her things and folded the letter. If it didn't get out now, she wouldn't be mentioned at Halloween parties, and people would notice. Next she had to write to Leo and Maine, and reply to Manolo. So much to do!
