Sarah had known about a dance. Her grandmother told her about the witchdoctors in Africa and the Shaman of the Khoi-san people who did things that were supossedly magic. Sarah doubted it though. So instead she made up her own dance magic, even though she did know of a real one. "I would make up a dance magic called Sarah's Sunshine Shuffle, it brings out the sunshine... we need it here in Britain". Her mother told her stories of growing up in Sunny South Africa and her grandmother echoed them. In South Africa the weather gives them like a six month summer, two month winter, two month spring and two month autumn! That is so cool! And it only rained in the summer... and it did not just rain... it stormed. But it least it was not cold when it rained. Sarah was sure that the reason why South Africans were so warm, was because of their warm weather, some British people, or most were so cold.. that was probably because they let the coldness of the weather get into their hearts. "Oh that sounds lovely! And just think how much good it could do for plants and things and people's moods too!" Then everyone would be cheerful like Celandine, yup. Quote:

Kat huddled in the middle of the room with the other people in the seminar. Hoping she had warmed up enough, she stood their with her hyper feet listening to Cela. "Well, if there's a rain dance, there must be a sun dance" Good luck. Cela laughed. "That is great logic." Really it was. She'd guess that it would be more of a no-rain dance than a sun dance though, since sun was more like an absence of bad juju weather than the presence of sun. Quote:

" Really? Does that mean that... I could do wandless magic? Me?" Theodore's little face lit up a bit. He nodded some more as Cela talked and talked and talked, and he did kind of understand. " So, you'd use your wand for more powerful spells, and wandless for the little stuff, right?" Like the Bat-Bogey Hex, maybe. Man, he really needed to learn that one.
And if he did it wandlessly, no one would even suspect a thing. Oh, the perks.
Back to the Dance Magic. The second year really had never heard of it before in his life, so he appreciated the opportunity to make up their own example. He stroked his imaginary beard for a moment, to think of his favourite dance move. Yea, he really wasn't the dancer type, so this was difficult.
But, ooooooooh, creative brain wave. Theodore raised his hand.
" Kinsley's Karate Krump." He said thoughtfully, " ... which, I have decided, will be used as a defensive spell... putting your opponent into an imaginary head lock." And once they were in a muddle with the headlock, it made it very easy to KAYAHHHHHHHHHH. (Knock them over with your mad skills).
And win.
Is that what Cela meant by Dance Magic? "You sure could, if you want to learn you could do anything!" And wasn't he just an adorable ambitious little snake? N'aww. "Ooooh a defensive one! You could use a spell like that to get away from bad people, or in the dueling arena!" Quote:

The girl raised a hand. "If I had to make one up, it would be Abby's Amazing Moves." Yeah, not very creative. "And, that spell would make everyone around me admire my beauty. Like, they'd think I'm the only beautiful person on the planet." Abby said, with a dreamy sigh. If that were only possible. Not that THAT wasn't already happening but what if every single person in class threw compliments at her every second of every day? Wouldn't that be ah-ma-zing?
"That would be hard but useful! You'd have to mess with their minds to make them think you're the only beautiful person." Not that Cela was implying otherwise. At least not intentionally. And besides, what use would she have for a spell like that? Still it was... "Creative!" Quote:

Could be most suitable for family with young kids who dislike Portkeys or cannot apparate and disapparate.'' A jet? One of those muggle things? Cela had a moment of looking a bit puzzled but then she nodded in realisation. "Like an air-up-plane!" Its what it was right? "That's how innovations happen! Creative idea!" Quote:

Yes now that is an awesome dance. But the only problem is Nigel is terrible at dancing. A bat man suit? More puzzlement from Celandine. She was, of course, picturing a giant BAT.
"It would have to be a pretty scary bat!" She said enthusiastically all the same. Quote:

What was it that Cela had literally JUST told Kurumi about strange wand movements? Yeah...she needed to think more that way and now how ridiculous she was going to look with her two left feet once they got to dancing.
Wandless magic...remember...you are here because of the wandless magic...
Pausing for a moment to think before raising her hand. "There is the Nobunaga Odori. I am not entirely sure what it does...but I've read that its movements mimic farmings working their fields. It might be related to Earth Magic." "That sounds interesting!" Celandine was enthusiastic with her nods. "Earth Magic is exciting! Don't you just love growing things?" Of course! Who didn't? Quote:

She had actually took her time with her appearance today. Something she hadn't had the peace of mind to do in a long time. She had managed to wrestle her hair into a afro puff on the top of her head. It gave her at least 4 inches in height. Which still wasn't five feet tall, but she was getting there. Her green leggings and silver ribbed tee were clean and wrinkle free. She felt like a newly scrubbed galleon.
Harlow saw Richard and her face burned. 'Stop it', she commanded herself. 'He is so not into you,' she told herself. Obviously by the way he was eyeing the instructor he liked real woman. And Harlow was still eating at the kiddie table. She pulled herself out of her daydream and tried to pay attention to the class.
Well this was a question she could answer. She raised her hand, "My cousin Paris has this dance she calls the Mancatcher Mamba. She says that 90 percent of the time it works every time." Harlow shrugged. She was sure there was something wrong with that math, but judging from the parade of men Paris went through Harlow needed to work on her Arithmancy.
Cela perked up.
Somehow it WAS possible for Celandine Kettleburn to perk up even more. "Paris Greenwood?" Paris caught men? Celandine wondered why one would want to --they were always underfoot after all-- but nodded all the same. Dancing totally WAS a way to rope them in. Didn't even need to be magic. "Thanks for sharing!" It had a ring to it right? Mancatcher Mamba? She wondered if it would work on a man that had already been caught? As in, her Copernicus of course. Teehee. Quote:

Right? Elliot understood now.
And she officially liked the lady...she could get over the cheerfulness..heehee...
If Elliot had to invent...a dance magical spell...she thought...and thought...and thought...smiiiirk. She had just the one! "Elliot's Stupidity Draining Jig..." Jig. Heehee. Sounded like a word Elliot would NEVER use...but she just did! She took a deep breath, then continued, "SO you see, you do some dance moves and then point your hand at the said...'stupid' person...and all the stupidity drains out of them!" If only it really worked. Then she could perhaps make Soapy a passable person to converse with...hmppphhh! "Yup! Exactly right!" Could she give points for figuring stuff out? Teehee. Cela would count that in the totalling after all the fun stuff was over. "Oh that would be lovely!" Just think of how many Gryffindors they could help pass their OWLs! Elliot here would do the whole WORLD a favour! Quote:

What? Plants are like Slytherins?!!? No they are NOT! Cassia wanted to correct the former Ravvie. And if this proves anything ,it proves that Ravenclaws ,even in the past years , were fooled by facts and things while Slytherins always figured out right away what to trust and what not to. Cassia wondered how many Ravvies died inspecting plants not knowing that they are deadly and dangerous and MEAN. Though it's usually the huffies job to die but eagles die too, no?
Anywayzz, pushing aside the difference in opinions Cassia listened to what was said next. Dance magic spell? That's fun to think of. The second-year stopped the stretching her hand fixed under her chin. She was thinking now.
After a while of concentrating and after many students spoke up, Cassia finally raised her hand excitedly, "Cassia casty crunchy candy!" long huh? Well it will require many dancing moves. "That'll be my dance spell and it'll conjure candy!" Though that part was kinda clear. "Oh that's my FAVOURITE so far." Celandine winked theatrically. "I used to eat an awful lot of candy." There might even have still been stashes around the castle, if Clifford Carden hadn't found and eaten them all. Quote:

Sure when he was as good as his parents were and practiced animangi were it was wandless...Gideon had been working with his wand for now to work on getting it all correct until he was more comfortable with the magic.
Other answers were given and Gideon vaguely caught them but soon enough it was time to move. Stretching over obviously, the boy moving obediantly to form a line like Celand--Cela asked them to.Dances...he had no clue, even as his fellow classmates responded with ones that seemingly existed. Guess that left him in the create-yer-own section of the class population. "Perhaps the Flying Monkey..." he mused with a slight shrug. Could be a dance on the ground or on broomstick...right. New broom game right there. "There are flying monkeys at the Cryptozoo in Minsk!" Had he seen them? Was that where he got the idea from? She'd taken her children there recently actually. A day at the zoo was always a lot of fun! Quote:

Dance magic and wandless magic sounded like the most useful magic Olivia could use. It would be so much funner and sneakier. She imagined herself sneaking up on her opponents, without uttering a word, and casting magic spells. "Mine is a dance spell that causes the person to loose all their memories. I would call it, Olivia's Obliviation Dance". This would be awesome, because even if she looked stuipd while doing it, the person's memory would be erased, so they wouldn't even know she was there. "I've never met a Bat Man." Cela said gravely. "But if I ever do, I'll be sure to ask!" Y U NO dance no mo, man who is bat?
The suggested dance perked her up again of course. "It'd be a lot more fun to do than Obliviate, that's for sure!" Quote:

Eep!
But ooonto the next question! Sophie BEAMED and started thinking about it. She really had never heard of anything alike, so she would just have to make one up. "I like the sound of 'Colours And All That Jazz'!" EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!! Sounded cool! And Colourful! And dancy! "Oh good!" Good! Had to be nice to the plants! Only good things came of being nice to plants! "It sounds festive!" Celandine gave some jazz hands for emphasis. Quote:

Because Ella had never heard of any Dance Magic spells, the badger decided to think of a dance she'd like to use. "I think Ella's Ice Cream Krump has a nice ring to it..." She announced thoughtfully, her head tilted to the side a bit. And when you did the dance perfectly you could make ice cream appear! BEAM. Besides, wasn't krumping like...flailing your body around all over the place? Ella was a PRO at flailing so she could totally do this dance. "Any flavour at all?" MEAT! Barbeque Sausage was Cela's absolute favourite Florean's flavour. She giggled. "Yeah, that one would be fun!" Quote:

Awarlesta thought long and hard before coming up with, "AWAR'S AMAZING CONGA!" Maybe that was a little too loud... "See there are plenty once you start thinking about it!" And Cela gave a thumbs up at the idea for a name. She liked that it had 'amazing' in it. Quote:

Oh, oh! "What about the Flamma-Flamenco, Cel-an-dine?" She stomped her right foot forward and did a little arm flourish over her head with a grin. "My father knew a Potions Master who insisted on lighting his cauldron with it."
"Potions Masters can be such characters, can't they?" Cela giggled slightly. She sure knew a few. Quote:

Wait... "Did you say Professor Bun?" she asked. That sounded awfully similar to another last name she knew.
Sierra smirked. She really wanted to make up something called the Smush-a-Puffer, where...well, you know. Those Puffers just wouldn't stand a chance. She also didn't want to share that information with this Cela lady. She had a feeling that with the woman's enthusiasm and love for all of mankind, Sierra would be forced to hug a Puffer by the end of class.
NOPE.
So she sat back and started thinking about a dance that she would actually appreciate. Hmm... "What about Sierra's Phoenix Flames?" she suggested. "It just sounds cool." She shrugged "...but also, I think it'd be neat to dance yourself into some fake flames and then reappear somewhere else." It might be impossible, but it sounded impressive to her. "Headmistress Truebridge was Professor Bunbury when I was a student." Celandine said with a smile.
She listened to the idea and thought about it. "It DOES sound... cool. Or HOT!" Teehee. Quote:

"Maybe something like Cloud Nine Afloat. Two dancers, special waltzing and poof! They can hover over the ground. Like a powerful anti-gravity charm." Not like, flying. Nope. Louisa doesn't fly. But you know, something magical, not useful like conjuring stuff but magical all the same.
"Oh that sounds lovely! And so romantic!" And FUN! Celandine approved. And actually, it sounded doable too, with a bit of work. Quote:

Heck why not, another goal to shoot for eh?
And he nodded his head at the Goblin-magic clarification. He didnt know the finer deets, mostly due to his limited exposures to goblins. Something to work on right?
And here comes the part he was kinda dreading. There was a part of him that kinda wanted to back into the wall when Cela called out the wallflowers and bade them to fall in line. Their whole body was a wand? So that means he's free to be all stiff and just let the magic course through him yeah?
Oh if only he could be so lucky.
But now she's started to speak about Wakefield's Sambata-- which he had never heard of-- and now he has started to break into a nervous sweat. Are they gonna dance now? Wait she was asking them what kind of dance they were likely to invent.
Gosh. He couldnt even do most regular dances much less invent one....
But it is a question and the gears in his head was spinning to come up with an answer "Uhm... the Sebastien's Sway of Solidarity?..." gosh who's Sebastien? He doesnt know but its certainly not him, and S just sounds better than V "... We lock arms and sway to the left and to the right and we bring World Peace. " He is soooo not making any sense.
Gotta find someone who makes sense...
....Ah yes saved by the awesome girlfriend!
And what she said had captured his interest. It was flying! Well its the closest to flying anyhow. Floating--he'd take that. He's staring all dumb and dreamy at Louisa now. Can they try that out? Will it work?
..............
.........
...
What are they talking about again? "Well if you could get enough people to lock arms like that, then it would be peaceful wouldn't it?" She answered rhetorically, a bright smile on her face at the suggestion. ------ "Okay! I'm going to show you the steps for a spell first, then we'll work on the incantation, and then we'll put it all together and try it out." She tapped her nose. Teehee. "And you'll find out what it does once we get to that point. SO if you're all ready, lets go!" Cela turned around so that her back was to the students, easier to follow that way.
She hopped on her left foot to the left and at the same time clapped her hands in the air above her head, then wiggled her behind and kicked her right leg out in front of her.
"That's the first part. Lets try it together, try to get your hops and kicks as high as possible and clap like you mean it!" Enthusiasm, she had it. Little wonder she'd once been a one girl cheerleading squad for the entire Ravenclaw Quidditch team.
HOP!CLAP. WIGGLE. KICK.
Aaaand agaiiiin!
HOP!CLAP. WIGGLE. KICK.
