Lights felt a flicker of pride looking at the new food court - not for herself but for Ethan, who'd had a hand in creating and building it. She had to give him and the rest of Maintenance due credit - what they'd done was great.
However, the real reason she was here was not to admire the good job her husband had helped in. She sat down at one of the rainbow tables, pulling up a pink chair and putting down her laden tray. Bacon sandwich (she couldn't resist bacon), two fudge chunk brownies and a pot of raspberry tea. Lights had forced herself off coffee when she was pregnant was Naomi, and even after she'd lost the baby she hadn't gone back to her confessed addiction. Now she was being truly English and becoming obsessed with tea.
Wow! Was the first thought that popped into Ben's head as he arrived in the
Ministry's new food court, this place was actually something good in comparison to what he could find back at the American ministry. He really needed to stop comparing aspects of his current workplace to his past in America!
As he helped himself to food Ben scanned the room, noticing the familiar golden curls of Lights Lennox. They'd worked together enough times for Ben to consider her a friend but they hadn't seen eachother in a while so they were due a catch up. "Hey there Lights!" he grinned as he plonked himself and his food onto an opposite pink chair.
