She could take care of that problem, at least. Vivi cast the shield on her boots and on the fabric of the trousers she wore under her cloak. That should keep everything dry but her face, and perhaps if she pulled her cloak forward a bit more it would block out most of the wind and rain.
Huddling in on herself, Vivi tried to ignore those around her as she steeled herself for the onslaught. The little ones would go off to safety, and her peers really ought to be able to cast this spell. It was so similar to regular Protego, after all, and if they couldn't cast that, they didn't deserve to be dry. It was impossible to ignore Vick, though, who seemed to be having some sort of internal crisis. Not afraid of the storm, was he? It wasn't a real one, but some fears were just irrational and overpowering.
Okay? she pantomimed with a shrug, not wanting to embarrass him if he wasn't well.
It was the strangest sensation where he can feel his heart pounding in his head, racing as if he was on a full sprint yet feeling his limbs go all numb and heavy as if they were covered in lead. He caught Vivi looking at him, he couldnt even muster a shake or a nod of his head, and it took a few gulps just to get his throat to un-dry
"I-- I want to use the spell on my face... head..." he stammered back at her. Yes he knows what the Professor had just said, but such was his paralyzing fear of what was about to happen that his mind was galloping way ahead, going through each terrifying
at least to him scenario and finding ways and means to avoid it. And it all boiled down to one thing-- wrap himself completely in the spell.
"Protego Caelum." he repeated the spell again, covering every inch of his shoes and his clothes. He glanced at his free hand. He didnt bring gloves!
SPOILER!!: Hurricane Sophia

Sand will be whipping at you, coconut may come flying as well as parts of the huts, get as creative as you like. There will of course be strong winds and rain so yeah..just have fun with this.
Before unleashing the hurricane on the students Professor Bellaire went over to the large hut where most of the younger ones were gathered and performed the protego caelum maxima charm. She would of course be staying under the hut with the younger ones, safe and sound. It was so terribly hard getting sand out of places she just didn't want to deal with that today.
She addressed those outside of the protective shield from where she was standing.
"If I were you I'd grab hold of a tree!" She warned. Giving them a fe seconds to scramble about Sophia unleashed the hurricane on them.
First there was a gentle enough breeze then it started getting stronger tree leaves start dancing in the wind and then the rain. The beautiful blue of the charmed sky is now dark grey almost black and the rain drops are now no longer drops but feel like bucket loads of water being poured down..[thats if you can feel it that is]. After a little while the once dancing trees will bow so low their leaves should be able to hit you or touch the ground, please be mindful of the flying coconuts and hut debris..dodge them if you can.
"Older students please ensure that the younger ones survive my class thank you."
As for Sir Nick, he could talk to her under the hut mhm.
She turned to the ones that were gathered under the hut.
"Okay so one at a time, who's still having problems with casting this charm?"
And there it was-- the wind was picking up, the skies started to darken-- the storm was coming!
"Protego Caelum!" he uttered as he cast the charm on his free hand. Geez it was like wrapping his skin in cling wrap. Not really caring if his skin can breathe he cast the spell onto his face and wrapping his entire head. He must've looked like a freak mannequin or something.
He had just finished wrapping his wand hand with the spell when he felt a strong gust of wind whip against him to the side, losing his footing and slamming against the sand. Which freaked him out of course.
But there was no sand that filtered through, it was just there, suspended mere centimeters from his face. This is a good thing right? Sure, he'll appreciate this, after he dodges those large wilted coconut leaves hurtling his way....
