Too Lazy to Quote
Sutton didn't know the boys that Minnie and Professor Hadley were talking about, but the two of them obviously thought they could handle planning a sleepover for the boys. Did boys even have sleepovers? When boys stayed at each other's house in the Muggle world, that usually meant playing video games all night, so she had no idea what wizard boys did.
When the girl walked in, she was clearly upset, and Sutton had a feeling that there was more to the story than she let on. She ALSO wasn't sure she wanted this girl to help them plan. She didn't really know her, and she wasn't sure the girl would be as excited about the party as she and Minnie were.
As she started crying, Sutton sincerely felt bad for her. Yes, she had lost 50 points, but she honestly thought this was a cruel punishment... to embarrass her like this and try to turn her fellow housemates against her. Well, Sutton wouldn't do that, she wouldn't turn her back on someone just because they lost 50 points... they could easily make those points back up. But... there was something she didn't understand... "Why did you go in the Forbidden Forrest?" she asked the girl in a quiet voice.
