Deciding to sit down on the floor, Kurumi removed some parchment and a pencil from her bag and set it on top of her Transfiguration textbook, drumming it on the side. She had noooooo idea what she was going to design. NO IDEA. Which is why she looked up at Vivi with somewhat expecting eyes for a moment. "She has a vampire bat?!" Why did that suddenly make that Aparecium article even more true in the Gryffindor's mind. Honestly, no wonder she went around biting people. "I didn't know that. That is so neat! I just have a ca--- kneazle. But he is a menace to himself. Tried to pee on the former Headmaster once...maybe I should transfigure him a fashionable diaper...he pees a lot. When he is upset I mean."
Right...she was supposed to design a top today, yes? Kurumi brought her pencil down to her parchment and just drew the bust part of the mannequin - leaving the head off for now because faceless things creeped her out, and then idly drew squiggly lines in the margin. A top...um...a top... "Oh, good...because...um...I was sort of relying on you to help me with this assignment. You always seem so...fashionable...I get lost in my own closet," Kurumi admitted. "I know nothing about clothes...or fashion design." And then Vivi's next question came. "I don't know...a top?" Obvious enough. "These are outfits that will be completed at the end of the term, right? So...summer...some sort of tank top maybe?"
Kurumi shrugged. She had nooooooooooooo idea.
"What about you?" "Kurumi-quin. She has so been dubbed, and so mote it be," Vivi nodded solemnly, giving Kurumi-quin a little bow. And people said that Ravenclaws were literal!
"Aspen is an original in all things," she answered with absolute loyalty as she took a seat on the floor beside Kurumi. Aspen was her longest friend, although she hadn't had much time with her now that they were actually in the same place. Still, if anyone in the entire school got her devotion, it was her mother first, and an Odessa second. New friends came in third. "I have a kneazle too, although she is a rotten little thing. We have a love-hate relationship, but I think I'm winning her over by feeding her every time I see her."
Vivi watched the other girl draw before she returned to her own drawing. Now then... what did she want to... Wait. WAIT. What was Kurumi saying? She found Vivi to be fashionable? Of all the crazy things to say, that sat well at the top of the list. Vivi tugged her ponytail and scrunched up her nose in confusion. "I'm not. Not at all. But we can do this. We're clever and the spell will come easily enough, so we just need to puzzle this part out. I think it'll help if we have a final result in mind - some specific event we want to design our project towards. End of term feast? Graduation party? That's dressy, at least, which meets the requirement of being a more complicated transfiguration."
