There was some emphasis on the 'Care' part; they would see why when the hands on lesson starts. The best part, in her opinion.

And just because she really did want to get to the best part, she pulled the cage that was smoking the most closer to herself and tugged the covering from off of it.

She waited for the imaginary 'ohhs' and 'ahhs' of the students to die down before.. "Who can tell me what they know about Fire Crabs? One thing per person, and," if it wasn't too much trouble, "it would be nice if you told me your names as well."

OOC: The lesson has officially started! Don't worry about mentioning the same thing as another person, you will still get credit for it. But creativity is awesome, just so you know. =D

After another moment or two of relaxing in the grass, the professor started her lesson. She pulled a smoking cage towards her and revealed a Fire Crab. Eliza was interested to see what creatures were in the other cages too since the Fire Crab wasn’t the most exciting, or petable, animal she’d ever heard of. When asked to say a fact about the crab, all she could think to say was, “Fire Crabs have really pretty shells, but you should keep your distance so they don’t burn you!” She knew most of the other students had said similar things, but that was all she really knew. She was ready to hear what others would say when she remembered, “Oh, and my name is Eliza Dawnsel. First year, Ravenclaw.” She smiled politely.

SPOILER!!: Professor, next direction

Yup. They were going to be cleaning a Fire Crab

Oh. So every cage has a Fire Crab in it. Okay then… Eliza felt bad for the poor little Fire Crabs being poached and killed every year. She couldn’t understand how anyone could want to hurt creatures for fun or profit. It was just terrible. This is my chance to show the creature that not all people are bad, she thought to herself as she walked over to collect her supplies for the lesson.

She put a washcloth and brush into her bucket and carried the load over to a crab cage. Since it seems we’ll be grooming them, I’m going to show mine extra delicate care. As she stood by the caged animal, she watched it pace back and forth. She wondered if it was very aware of what was going on. Is it more like a bug or like a…a dog or something? Something that has feelings? she wondered. She thought on how to word her question for a minute before raising her hand. “Do Fire Crabs um…” Everyone was going to think she was stupid. “Do they have feelings? Or are they more like, you know, small creatures that don’t really comprehend much?” She hoped someone else had been wondering the same thing so she wouldn’t feel so silly for asking.

SPOILER!!: Peeves arrives

"FIRE!

THE CRABS ARE ON FIRE! EVERYONE RUN! SAVE YOURSELVES!"

Flying around their heads he spotted a jar of dirt... and worms.

PERFECT!

"HAVE NO FEAR, PEEVES IS HERE! HE'LL PUT OUT THOSE FIRES!" Or maybe just feed the crabs.

Swooping down he snatched up the jar FULL of creepy crawlies and started dumping them all over the place. Worms were everywhere! On the ground, tables... on the students, in their hair, slithering down their backs...

While she was waiting at her cage she saw something whisk over from the bushes. Was that a…a…a GHOST?! She watched it fly around the pasture, hooting and hollering. What on Earth does he want with us? she wondered. Just then he turned and flew in her direction, throwing dirt and worms every which way.

She caught an eye-full of dirt and felt a worm plop onto her ear. She bent over, brushing her eye frantically as she tried to get the dirt out. Dirt that was quickly becoming mud from the tears welling under her eyelid began a dirty little river down her face. Ow, ow ow ow! She writhed internally as she struggled to clean her eyes. The worm would have to wait. At least it wasn’t hurting her.

Seeing all those other kids doing that boring class stuff, Peeves decided this class was no longer fun for him so without a word he zoomed off towards the castle... where he was sure he could find more unsuspecting victims another class that wasn't so boring.

Her right eye was red and wet from trying to rub all of that dirt out. She plucked the worm off of her ear and sat it on the table where it wouldn’t be stepped on. Whomever that ghost was, he seemed to be bored of terrorizing this group of students.

Eliza had been so focused on her dirt issue that she still hadn’t found a partner. Being able to sort of see now, she just stood still by her Fire Crab, thinking it was best not to walk around and risk further injury. She blinked a few times to try and de-fog her poor, abused eye.
