Ethan raised a speculative eyebrow as the professor began speaking about the practical part of the lesson. Err... what? They were meant to bathe those creatures? Ethan eyed the cages warily. Sure, the boy was opposed to hurting them... but he didn't want them to hurt him. He briefly wondered how often people got burned handling those things when he heard the professor mention working with partners. Hmm, that might be a good idea - less chance of getting burned, somehow... or more likely? The 5th year was just about to ask the Ravenclaw girl (Helen) who had spoken to him at the beginning of class to partner up when chaos broke out.

Another ghost? Ethan watched curiously for a moment then ducked and covered his head with his arm when worms started flying everywhere. He didn't really have a problem with worms but he didn't necessarily want to be covered with them. When it seemed Peeves was finished with the worm assault, Ethan brushed a few from his shoulders. He raised an eyebrow, then rolled his eyes at the reaction of many of the girls in the class. For Merlin's sake, they were only worms! Girls could be such drama queens...

After the excitement died down, Ethan turned back to his fellow Claw, but it seemed she had found another partner. Shrugging to himself, he started over to the cages to begin his work. He certainly wouldn't be opposed to having a partner, but he'd get started with his work in the meantime.
