Maybe because they were the people of his own house. He moved after eyeing each of them having chosen a comfortable looking armchair by the fireplace.
Feeling all content, he made himself comfortable in the armchair and put his guitar in the right position. His gray eyes stared at it a bit admiring the musical instrument. Then he closed his eyes and started to play a soft melody. He just played the melody for a moment or so before starting singing.
''Oh, it was a dark chilly night
When i got struck by your charm
Please come to me i mean no harm
It is her ice cold heart i have to fight
But what if i lose my heart to her?
I would be left alone in the cold
With nothing in my sight...''
But then...he stopped suddenly. There was something that irritated him. His gray eyes opened and searched the place quickly. His gaze turned into a glare when his eyes found the house elf. ''You!'' he said coldly ''You! Creature!''
The second-year sat down on
her chair kinda bored. You know she had chatted with the elf and guaranteed herself a good host in the kitchen. But then she had no one to speak with. And she had to! Actually she was also trying to refresh her mind because it was getting quite and she might just fall asleep. Well, there were students chattering but their voices were in a rhythm that only made her feel more sleepy.
Then another new sound. Cassia at first thought that it was on her mind. But when she looked around her she found that it was an older boy. And he was playing an instrument which Cassia thought its name was a guitar or something.
She listened to what he was singing. And it didn't make much sense to the twelve-years old. She rose to her feet and stepped closer to the boy making no attempt to bother him
yet. However ,he stopped and addressed Tinka not so nicely as Cassia could tell. So Cassia took advantage of his stoppage and spoke.
"I wouldn't recommend speaking to her like that." She said thoughtfully.
"She was just freaking out about the lake and so," She told him whisperingly making sure not be heard by the house-elf.
"And by the way, why would you be left in the dark?" The second year asked curiously referring to the song the boy was singing. As she sat leg-crossed on the floor near the boy's chair. And yeah she was making herself comfortable so unfortunate for the older boy in case he didn’t like chatting with clueless second-year girls.
