She did love Pink Ted so much, even if she didn't take him around with her all the time now.
"Okay..." She mused with a smile, feeling much better now. Max was just perfect like that. He was the perfect big brother. She was going to be sad when he graduated next year. It would be odd not having him around.
Indy shrugged. She would've told Bee. She'd known Bee a lot longer than she had known Dylan. She had felt sort of betrayed, but had gotten over it pretty quickly. She didn't want to be down, that just wasn't Indiana. "No..." She shook her head, a little frown on her lips. "I didn't find out till later..." Which sucked so much. ...
Suddenly Indy had run off, and Max sat there, blinking at the fireplace. She just... left him? Just like that? After a minute passed and she hadn't returned, the seventh year sighed quietly to himself and took her warm spot on the couch, laying the blanket across his own lap. He rested his elbow on the armrest of the couch and rested his cheekbone against his knuckles, waiting.
When the Grey Lady flew through the door, Max turned to observe her as she glided past different groups of people; he smiled to himself as she very blatantly eavesdropped. Guess the ghosts had to entertain themselves somehow in this place, right? When she seemed bored and stopped to cross her arms at the general population of the room, he tore his gaze away and focused on the fireplace once more. A few seconds later, he heard happy footsteps on the stairs and turned to see Indy come prancing toward him with a teddy bear. She went all the way upstairs and back... just to show him her teddy bear?
A warm smile formed on his face and he patted Pink Ted's head once the bear was in his lap. "He's cute," he offered, unsure of what else she anticipated him to say about it.
Ah. So Beezus had been in just the tough situation he thought, and took the same route he probably would have. "I'm sorry," he said quietly. "That's a shame. Are you two... still friends? Have you let a silly boy get between your friendship?" If she had, he hoped the term 'silly boy' would make her see that it was silly to lose a friendship over a boy. If she hadn't, then... at least Indy still had a good friendship out of the situation, right?
