She felt like writing out a list for the Head Girl, but they DID need to get to their project at hand. It made it all the more fun that Louisa CLEARLY didn't want to be Aspen's partner. Aspen smiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiled.

"And where do you propose we get these machines? Trick the local muggles into making them?" As it were, they were fresh out of muggles in the History of Magic classroom. "I think the answer is simple. This one is broken." Aspen turned to point at Scabior's working train. "That one isn't. We go make a copy of THAT one, trash this one, and we have a working train." It didn't really require much creativity at all, sadly. "I guess that doesn't FIX this train, but not everything is repairable. It'd fix the problem, but not this specific, non-unique train..." Hmmmm.... Hmmmm...

Aspen pushed her train again with her fingers, absently pondering their problem.

The final questions, along with Louisa's stated beliefs, got another grin out of Aspen. A long one, a truly happy one. She answered with a question of her own, "How many breakout loonys have you seen from Mungo's?"

She frowned at that CREEPY smile. "We stole a huge train from muggles, I think stealing engines would be a piece of cake." But no, she wasn't implying they should steal them. As for making a replica of Scabior's working train... that was downright a mission impossible. "If you can move near to his table, copying his train, dumping ours then sit back down without Scabior finding out...... then you'll be the most epic, dangerous girl in Hogwarts." Heeeeeh. "Sadly, you can't." Nobody could, actually. Louisa made herself comfy in her seat as she stared at the train again, that was now slightly moving from the other girl's nudge.

"Isn't there like a whole department in the ministry for maintenance? So instead of fetching someone for Portkeys, they could've gotten a maintenance team. Would've saved us a lot of injured kids." Nodnod. "Anyways." She tilted her head at the train and paused... thinking... "We should write down under what circumstances did the train stop." She pulled her parchment closer.

Ignoring Aspen's question, Louisa shot one of her own, "Does being a hexing brat make you feel stronger? Under control?" TWO can play this question game.

On her parchment she wrote,
The train stopped:
  • At night.
  • Not far away from Hogsmeade.
  • The lights flickered a couple of times.
  • A few bumps occurred.
  • One final big halt brought it to a final stop.

"Looks like a normal out-of-gas thing." SNORT. Only it didn't work by gas, or coal, or any known fuel, right? "I still believe it's a maintenance thing." How were THEY supposed to fix this? HMMM.
