He knew that all too often people in ended relationships 'learned their lessons,' then simply moved onto the next love interest with no regard for the previous experiences they went through. It seemed silly.
"That's okay. It'll dry," Max offered, not wanting her to feel bad. It WAS just clothing, after all. A friend's reduced sadness was worth all the soaked robe sleeves in the world. And then Indy went on about Beezus. Oh.
"...Oh." Hm. He paused, thoughtfully considering the situation, then asked, "Well, what could she have done about it? That's a tough situation to be in, y'know? If one of my friends was going to be broken up with and I knew about it ahead of time, I think... I'd be in a tough position. Because I'd want to give the friend a heads up, but then again... it's not my place to interfere in a relationship. Y'know? So that must've been an awkward situation for her. Did she... tell you he was going to do it?"
"My teddy bear..." Indy grinned with a little giggle. "Wait here a minute..." She got up out of his embrace, and leaving the blanket on him, ran up to her dorm. About five minutes later she was back down, holding the teddy bear in her hand. She sat back down next to him, snuggling back into him. "My favorite." She placed the teddy into his lap. She did love Pink Ted so much, even if she didn't take him around with her all the time now.
"Okay..." She mused with a smile, feeling much better now. Max was just perfect like that. He was the perfect big brother. She was going to be sad when he graduated next year. It would be odd not having him around.
Indy shrugged. She would've told Bee. She'd known Bee a lot longer than she had known Dylan. She had felt sort of betrayed, but had gotten over it pretty quickly. She didn't want to be down, that just wasn't Indiana. "No..." She shook her head, a little frown on her lips. "I didn't find out till later..." Which sucked so much.
