Cass was right. The common room was strangely quiet. It was peaceful, and Kat half-thankful for that. Though it was really awkward because the Snakes are naturally boisterous and loud, no doubt. "For once, it is exceptionally quiet," the fourth year agreed.
"Wait," Kat looked back at Cass. "Are you trying out for Quidditch this year? Just curious. 'Cause I am... I'm nervous."
Just as the older girl was about to agree, the common room entrance opened, letting in a crowd of Slytherins, all coming back from wherever they were for the rest of the day - classes, the grounds and what not.
"I guess we spoke too soon." The seventh year said with a grin, laughing at their slight bad luck - or maybe it was just really awful timing.
At the next question, Cass arched an eyebrow at the girl lazily before shaking her head
"No, I'm more of the moral support kind of girl." She said with a laugh
"Although, if you were going to try out - I'd totally support you." Wait, were they still holding tryouts for the team? She saw the sign on the notice board some time ago, but she didn't really pay much attention to it.

But that was just Fee's opinion, when it came to dessert though..hehe. Putting her fashion magazine back into her bag beside the armchair the Slytherin snuggled into it and pulled her legs closer to her body. Now that was cozy.
Looking down at herself she couldnt help but laugh."You know it got a bit cold just in a sparkly tank top", the girl noded," so i decided on this."She loved that jumper, hearts and dots. They were her thing. Smiling at her best friend who seemed pretty tired, the seveth year added. "you look well fine too though." Cass always looked good no matter what she was wearing.Besides that it ha been a long eventful day, no wonder everyone was tired.
Mrs. Prewett? Woah. No. That was her grandmum.
"Its just Miss Prewett, darling." Cass corrected her bestie with a teasing smile
"We may be seventeen, but I'm not looking forward to turning into a missus just yet." But then the girl pursed her lips for a moment, considering a thought that suddenly flew into her head
"Unless of course its Mrs. James or something - but that's highly unlikely." She said with a laugh, her cheeks turning a bit pink at the thought of Christopher James - who by the way, she hasn't seen since forever.
"You on the other hand, you could be -with you and Hugo still together since second year!" Wait, were they even still together? She wasn't sure, she couldn't remember the last time she asked about Fee's Ravenclaw boyfriend.
"Yes, dessert was awful!" The girl groaned
"and yet, so wonderful at the same time!" She couldn't stop eating - but she had to if she wanted to get first dibs on her couch this year.
Cass then laughed as she rolled her eyes playfully
"I figured - a tank top isn't necessarily something that could keep you warm down here in the drafty dungeons." After all, they were under the lake for Merlin's sake! It was bound to be a little chilly.
"Its a really pretty sweater." She said with a smile
"Where'd you get it?"
At the compliment, the blonde smiled shyly and said "
Thanks, but I'm pretty sure you look waaaaay better."
