With Genevieve's apology though, Medea relaxed a little. "Best to just move forward."
Yes, it was time to move on.
"Now if we can all settle down, we can get through the rest of the period quickly." Readjusting her position as a few more people answered, she gave a nod to each. "Yes, each of you are correct, general opinion of women and gryffindors aside." Her bringing it up did not give the green light to argue about it. It could be done after the lesson. She was eyeing all of you!
"Some a little more obvious than others, but that is good. I'm glad to know you'll defend yourselves against trolls and spells. However, as a few of you have mentioned, some are not so easily recognizable, especially when the danger comes from our own impulses." Someone here had mentioned negative impulses, correct? "But, that is indeed life. When it comes down to it, it is best to listen to your instincts. Your guard should be on it's highest during those times."
Glancing from one student to the other, Medea moved into a new position. "This one's a killer. I'd like you all to move into the boat position." The student's favorite position, yes? "Speaking of impulses, what makes someone a dark witch or wizard? Who are some well known, or perhaps not so well known at all, people that have been labeled as 'dark'?" Boat Position Quickly? Kendall had barely gotten any time to try to not focus on her own problems and to focus on DADA and yoga, and now Professor Romanos was saying they were going to try and finish the lesson quickly? Maybe she'd have to try and do the yoga again up in the common room, or even better, the dorm. At least there she'd have a bit more privacy to try and get momentary peace from confusion. She was still going to try and focus on whatever was left of the lesson, even if she was half-hoping more chaos happened just so it dragged class on. Especially as the fact the professor had gone on to talk about impulses and following instincts only made her think about other things again. DADA please, she thought. Anything to get her to focus on something other than her instincts right now, which was what they were supposed to be doing, wasn't it? Not giving the first answer that came to their head, which was sort of going against instincts.
First she had to figure out how to move into the boat position without kicking anyone, stretching her legs out in front of herself like she'd done before and sort of folding her body in half like had been demonstrated. Hopefully she'd be excused for not raising her hand to answer the question, because right now the only time her hands were leaving her legs was to keep herself from falling over sideways into Beezus or whoever was on her opposite side. So far she was wobbly but still staying upright. At least she wouldn't hurt anyone in her sock feet. "A dark wizard is made by the desire for power no matter how they get it. Or the desire to follow somebody who has that power or seems like they do. And they don't worry about killing people or guilt or anything like that," she answered. Maybe they just ignored it, or maybe the dark magic just made it all vanish. And she'd turned her head slightly as someone had men tioned Bellatrix Lestrange. "What about Tom Riddle? Voldemort? He was obviously a dark wizard," she blurted out. Even though she'd actually thought about the other Lestranges first.
